Unique design: poetic architecture, serene atmosphere, pure quality, maximum convenience challenges for an unforgettable visit. The most exclusive newly build guesthouse in St. Lucia is totally different regarding architecture and exclusivity. Minimalistic with a warm atmosphere. Big luxury rooms (50m2 each), a fantastic view into the garden and Wetlands Park with all the birds and animals, the silence, a beautiful large swimming pool and warm Dutch hospitality.

Had a 5 night stay at Serene Estate over the recent Heritage Day long weekend, and what a pleasure. Its a piece of heavenly tranquility and modern class that made the 7 hour road trip from Joburg worth it. The location is perfect - fronting directly onto the lush green parkland on a quiet street away from the busy main road through St Lucia, but close enough that its a 10 minute walk to any of the restaurants in town. The rooms are very spacious, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. Bed was super comfy and bathroom had double basins and a great shower. Best feature, though, was the view from the patio outside the room - we watched duikers, bushbuck, crested guinea-fowl, tons of birds and cute bush-babies, while sitting and having a glass of wine. Wonderful! Breakfast was a feast. Fresh fruit, Juice, yogurts, cereals, cold meats and cheeses, a generous bread basket (great croissants!) and eggs to order. Nice coffee, too. Enough to get us through till dinner while we explored the park up to Cape Vidal or lazed on the main beach at St Lucia Olga was a perfect hostess, and I can wholeheartedly recommend Serene estate. It really lives up to its name!

My husband and I decided to do a road trip once we were allowed to travel out of Gauteng. St. Lucia was suggested by a friend for all it's beauty it has to offer. We chose Serene-estate Boutique Guesthouse as it looked modern, clean and in beautiful settings (what we needed in Corona times) and it did not disappoint. What also appealed to us was the size of the room we chose leading onto patio and pool area. Olga our host was great and each morning a delicious breakfast was served so beautifully by her and her sweet helper. She gave us the right information on what sights we should see and we did a beautiful walk as well into the nature reserve (which forms part of the Estate) seeing as a bonus beautiful flamingoes. The Guesthouse is well maintained and all your needs are met. It also has a good size swimming pool overlooking the nature reserve and it is so peaceful. We loved our 4 night stay and would definitely recommend if you are visiting St. Lucia and want the best, stay at Serene-estate Boutique guesthouse.

We arrived the day the first 2 cases of COVID were dicovered in St. Lucia. The manager informed us about the consequences (some excursions were cancelled, no alcohol is restaurants after 18h) but also told us about alternatives. She was absolutely wonderful. We were the only guests, and stayed in a large, light room near the pool, with all the facilities one can wish for. Breakfast was abundant. The alternative trips turned out to be very nice and pleasant, and nearby. A great place to visit, hope to be back in better times.

This is an excellent place. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and you have a view on the beautiful garden and the swimming pool. Serene Estate Boutique Guesthouse is situated near the estuary and not far from the towncentre with plenty of good restaurants and giftshops.

We had an early morning flight into Durban so arrived at the Serene Estate Guesthouse quite a few hours before check in time. We were met by the Manager who made us very welcome and invited us to stay by the pool in the sunshine until our room was ready. The Serene is a really unique place to stay with lovely rooms which overlook the garden and pool. The Manager was really helpful and gave us lots of information on the local area giving us a map and indicating/advising on things to see and do. Breakfast was amazing with an individual buffet on each table. We had a lovely couple of days here before continuing with our tour in South Africa. A great place to stay when visiting St Lucia.
