Compared to the other camps in Kruger the accommodation offered in Talamati is far superior. What this camp has going for it is its isolation. There is no shop so bring all your own provisions. Don't forget to bring a torch as the walk to the hide is very dark. The sounds of the bush at night in this camp... More

We absolutely love Talamati bush camp. There are pros and cons like any place... cons are that there is no signal at all (you have to drive about 60 min to get cellphone reception) but it does mean you get a proper break from the world..another con is that it is quite remote so it does take a while to... Last year visiting Talamati was a highlight of Kruger NP, but not this time. We did see 2 white rhino just inside Orpen Gate, and others on road S140 and S36, but the resident leopard has gone and few animals were visiting the dam. This year the dam did have a Hippo. Saw only 3 elephant visiting the dam in... More

Loved the well appointed bungalows and quiet of the bush. A hide over the floodlit waterhole with elephants coming down to drink after dark was a reward A good red next to the braai listening to the night sounds - does it get any better ? Clean , well maintained and comfortable

We changed our minds and entered the park through Kruger Gate instead of Orpen Gate and were delighted to see the Big 5 on the drive to Talamati. Not that we aimed to do that - we are grateful for all and any game or birds that we see along the way! There was a friendly efficient welcome to Talamati... More

Talamati has to be the jewel of the Kruger. A peaceful and quiet camp. The chalets are very clean and comfortable. Well worth a visit. There is a little hide where you can watch the wildlife come and drink at the waterhole and squirrels amuse you with their antics as you sit and enjoy morning coffee on the patio.

The photos of Talamati speak for themselves - check out their page on Facebook and the many glowing reviews. The game viewing here is second-to-none and the hide overlooking the waterhole (only 75 yards or so away) is frequently full up even thought there are only 13 cottages in the camp. It's the only camp I've been to where you... More

Talamati Bush Camp is located near a waterhole that has animals visiting it to quench their thirst. The waterhole was quickly drying up but the day we visited you could see all sorts of animals visiting the hole. The camp has 2 viewing points (with decent covered seating facilities) that was great for the visitors like us. Me and my... More

Lovely bushcamp with great hide overlooking waterhole, unfortunately whilst we were there the area was affected by the drought and little wildlife about. Great hide overlooking the waterhole. nice accomodation with comfortable sofas on the veranda. Chalet well equipped and better furnished than most Kruger accomodation.

Lovely quiet camp, Chalet had everything we needed and was well serviced and clean. Staff made arrangements for us to watch the World Cup SA match. Saw lots of game around the camp - can't wait for the next trip ! We went down to one of the bigger camps with shops, restaurants etc - too many people - so... More
