This is a really good hotel to explore from. You are slightly out of town from Hazyview but it's only a 15 minute drive to the shops and restaurants. You are not far away from the gates of Kruger as well which is brilliant. The problem is wifi only in the bar and outside area in this day and age...

Protea Hazyview is easy to find. In a beautiful area and close to convenient shops etc. We received a welcome arrival and were treated as equally as paying guests. We had a comp stay. The rooms are clean, neat and spacious. You feel comfortable and at home. Rooms also need a few touch ups but nothing too major. Food from...

We were 3 people booked for 4 nights during December 2016. (Two international and one from SA). The hotel overall is beautiful with good views and well maintained. The food was on Protea hotel standard. However, the biggest impact was made by the staff mostly because they seemed uninterested in serving, and were unfriendly and uninviting. Everything seemed to be...

Dirt poor service at the bar Had to twice ask for towels and a tea cup (supposed to he standard in the room) Ordering food at the terrace had us wait for 1 and a half hour. After an hour, our complaint was simply met with a "it's being prepared" After 95 min we went and cancelled only to be...

My room was really big, had 2 queen size beds, a couch and a television but no mosquito-net. The bathrooms was also very big and comfortable with a tube and a hair dryer. Unfortunately the rooms are not far away from the street, so the traffic noise was really loud. You can find there jacaranda trees, a wonderful swimming pool...

Was really not wow. Staff were loud and the overall experience was not good. We initially booked two nights and after the first night decided to move to another hotel. They refused to refund us the night we did not spend there. WON'T GO AGAIN. Not nice.
