For working reasons I nearly spent 4 months in guest houses in and around Hazyview. I can honestly say that the Laughing Waters Guest House is my personal favourite. The location of this guest house is simply perfect: it is located closely to the Sabie river (you can observe hippos if you are lucky), surrounded by lemon plantages and in...

We had a wonderful long weekend stay at Laughing Waters. John and Heather were fantastic hosts and extremely accommodating. They went out of their way to ensure my family enjoyed the experience. Ayanda is also worth a special mention. She is an amazing cook.

Heather and John are two of the nicest people I've ever met. I stayed there for two weeks as I was doing a fieldtrip for my masterthesis and it felt like home. The place is beautiful, the garden, wauw! Everyone there has just been so nice to me! They have two lovely dogs, who became my buddies :). The breakfast...

My family from the US, Canada and India were here and they thoroughly enjoyed their stay. The main part of the stay was the lemon farm and the bridge over the Sabie river. Excellent service and stay. Will surely go back once again

I cannot say enough positive remarks about Laughing Waters Guesthouse. This experience was fantastic. After driving through a gorgeous lemon tree farm, the guesthouse sits in a calm and peaceful area of land surrounded by beautiful landscaping. The rooms & ensuite bathrooms are spacious and comfortable. The common areas offer plenty of room to be comfortable, whether one has work...

We enjoy traveling in SA and very often we have very good experience with guesthouses. What has made our experience at Laughing Waters Guesthouse so great? First, Heather and John and their amazing hospitality. Such friendly atmosphere is rare and we had great time sharing a drink or chatting with others guests. Secondly, the large house and the peaceful garden...

The place is beautiful , once you are inside the venue you wouldn't want to visit other places . Its peaceful and you only hear birds singing different tunes. My family was quite impressed ,the reception was good ,welcomed by the owner and introduced her staff . I m willing to revisit the place with my staff in April

Wonderful atmosphere, great food, amazing garden and swimming pool. The rooms are spacious and clean. The hosts Heather and John are a mine if local information and couldn't do more to make you feel at home.

The property is located on a farm, and is a great escape from the hectic city life. John and Heather who run the property were amazing, giving us great advice on local activities and sights. The place is tranquil with well maintained gardens. Rooms were in top shape and kept clean.

What a warm welcome we received, setting the tone for the rest of our stay. The staff must be complimented on their friendliness and going out of their way to make our short stay such a memorable one. Staff even made sure that our car was safely garaged and prepared individual picnic bags for our trip back to the airport.Not...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Laughing Waters Guest House in Hazyview is tucked away in the heart of the picturesque Sabie Valley on the banks of the Sabie River. Journey through the lemon trees to arrive in a beautiful sub-tropical garden, surrounded by tall trees and populated with an abundance of birds, Laughing Waters Guest House is a quiet haven, with a familiarity and comfort that makes you feel quite at home.On checking into Laughing Waters Guest House Hazyview, one will be settling into a retreat that boasts high archways, and a Tuscan ambience, a building that evokes an antiquated awe. Through the landscaped courtyard one will find their room with views of the beautiful surroundings. The location of Laughing Waters Guest House, close to the river, ensures slightly cooler temperatures within the valley; this comfortable micro climate makes Laughing Waters Guest House especially welcoming for a Lowveld destination in the hot summer months. The riverine forest and indigenous bush surrounding the farm, the proximity to Hazyview and the Kruger National Park and the occasional sighting of hippos makes Laughing Waters Guest House feel slightly "wild," but still very civilised! We have an in-house tour operator to assist with any tours / transfers you need planned. ... more   less
