The views were staggeringly beautiful. The camp is perched high on a cliff above the Olifants river. If you don't get a cabin with a view, there's also a great view from the restaurant. We took advantage of the morning game drive, which leaves early (you meet up at 3:45am), but which was fun and informative. We saw massive herds...

We booked a bit late and only got one of the simpler huts. They are very simple but absolutely fine for sleeping. The Olifant Camp is situated beautifully high above the Olifant river. We had one day of pouring rain but still managed to get a nice half of a morning walk (before cancelled due to rain) and a perfect...

Yes you can stay 2 nights. But I found that in trying to do a game walk, a trip to Letaba rest camp ( to visit the Elephant museum) and a game drive, you just don't get the time to sit back and enjoy the splendours that the view offers. I could have stayed for at least another 2 days,...

It is within the Kruger National Park. It has a stunning view overlooking the river. Some units offer great privacy. I definitely recommend the Olifants Rest Camp!! We have visited this camp quite often.

It is within the Kruger and hard to reach. It took us around 6 hours from malalane but the long trip was still worth it. The hits are already abut older but still ok. The store is not well equipped so make sure to bring everything needed. As soon as you are sitting in the hill and you are looking...

I would not suggest staying in Olifants if you value tranquility, privacy and space. If you can't get a large cottage over looking the river I'd suggest giving this camp a miss. The fridge was off on our arrival which was not consistent with the other camps and is a problem when self catering and driving around the park.

Great views high atop the cliff overlooking the river. Easy to find a located mid park (north south). If you leave early from the southern gates, one can make it to Olifants with good viewing by gate closing.

Olifants camp provided a stunning view at every part of the camp. Amazing river views. If possible, do food shopping before heading there as it's remote and the shop doesn't offer that much. Unfortunately no coffee and tea is provided in the Rondavels so you have to go to the Mug and Bean that's there or buy from the shop....

My best tip for here is to reserve a perimeter cottage! The views are spectacular. From our room we heard a male lion warning other male intruders of his presence near the river bed.No Mugg & Bean here, but the restaurant is pretty excellent. Petrol station and convenience store are located here as well. This camp was my favorite out...

We stayed here 12 years ago and wanted to try it again. The chalets are the same. We stayed in number three and it is on the hill immediately to overlooking the river. It's also close to the restaurant. There is a good size refrigerator in it as well as an outdoor kitchen. There is a ceiling fan and air...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Guests that visit Olifants will be exposed to an unforgettable window of Africa. The camp is situated a top a hill which towers several hundred feet over the Olifants river. Views from the lookout platforms allow one to see the river below, just as a soaring eagle would survey it, as it hunts from the skies. ... more   less
