The Olifant's Rest Camp remains our favourite camp in the Kruger National Park. The amazing vistas over the Olifants river is breathtaking. We have spotted so much wildlife, Elephants, Kudu's, Hippopotamus, Impala's, Waterbuck etc. We had a lovely upgraded 3 bed bungalow with river views. The food of the Mugg & Bean was very good. Also a big thank you... More

We stayed In Olifants for 2 nights. We couldn't get a bungalow with direct river view, but we're given nr 39. It was almost as good! We could see the river and we're woken by the call of fish eagles every morning. Baboons are a bit of a problem in the camp, but there are 'baboon monitors' walking through the... More

If we had a choice between overlook / waterholes in Kruger we would choose Letaba. You can actually see wildlife there. The overlook at Olifants is magnificent, but you are so far up, you cannot see anything moving below unless you brought your binoculars. The huts at Olifants have the same look as Letaba and Satara. Circular with porches. Maybe... More

Olifants camp are a centrally located in camp in Kruger set high on a hill overlooking a beautiful river. We stayed in a rondavel with 3 beds but probably better suited for 2 persons. The accommodation and camp was neat and clean. There is a nice shop with friendly staff and a nice restaurant, although you would probably enjoy a... More

We spent three days and they were magical! This rest camp has such a special location and ambiance about it! The Olifants and Letaba Rivers were painfully low and the Hippo are struggling. Hopefully the rain will come soon! Very aptly named camp as we saw so many Elephant very close to the gate. I particularly loved the early evenings... More

We stayed in a small rondel right by the edge of the escarpment. Excellent views down below! Good on-site shop and restuarant - surprisingly not over-priced given the location. Basic facilities as you would expect but everything worked just as it should do and we went on assorted walks and drives with helpful and informative guides. Still not had a... More

If you want a 5 star stay, make sure to book the units with the river view! You'll be blown away! The camp is clean, quiet and cosy. The only problem are the baboons. Other than that the camp has everything one needs for a wonderful bush getaway. Staff are a delight too.

Ok most people don't seem to mind the formula: little protein and loads of cheaper fillers like salads, buns and vegetables. No surprises here.Fine for cafe folk. The problem is that this camp is not ideal for those who wish to self cater.

Together with Lower Sabi my favourite camp of the Kruger Park. The view is unique and the setting together with its position within the park make this really one of the must stay camps of the park. To sit on the terraza of the restaurant and just gaze out over the beautiful Olifants river is allready magic and to experience... More
