There are a lot of people that discard Pretoriuskop as a chosen restcamp yet it is one of my favourites with a lot of old world charm. For some reason the other visitors at Pretoriuskop are just friendlier the staff are fabulous and the whole place is always spotless. I am going to be reviewing a few camps and I...

The facilities are good with a commune set up and central cooking place for all tourists with a cooking and cleaning place . Lighting for the camp is not all that good in all the place. Bathrooms and toilets are shared with everyone else. Whilst I found that these were clean my friends found this uncomfortable especially to move out...

My family and I recently returned from a 5 night stay at Pretoriuskop. We booked through the SANParks website, so our package included transport from JNB, two safari daily and breakfast and dinner daily. We ended up in a family bungalow with two rooms and a bathroom in between. It was disconcerting at first to realize that we had to...

Pretoriuskop restcamp is very well situated and it has clean chalets with spacious rooms. Ours had two bedrooms with separate showers which is always great. The pool was a welcoming dip at the end of the day. Very friendly staff at the camp store and the Wimpy food was of a good standard.

Always great sightings and nice weather staying at Pretoriuskop. We have booked into a Hut during our stay with Pretoriuskop, meaning that we do not have an en-suite bathroom and had to make use of ablution blocks for mens and ladies. The ladies blocks has not been serviced once in both days staying there. It was highly disappointing BUT I...

pretoriuskop is close to two entrance gates making it an ideal rest camp when starting your kruger trip. camp and accommodation very clean - staff at reception friendly and helpful - game viewing around pretoriuskop is good in the dry seasons and offers you a chance to see some of the rare antelope species in the park that you might...

This rest camp can be easily reached after a first day's safari entering through one of the southern gates. You can camp or stay in fixed huts. I stayed in a hut and it was clean with a small wash basin (very handy) and electricity. The huts are arranged in large circles great if you're visiting with a group. There...

We were booked in at Pretoriuskop for 2 nights. Upon our arrival we packed our meat, dairy products, etc for the weekend, in the fridge and went for a drive. When my husband removed the meat to spice it, he realised the fridge is not working properly. We reported the problem to the reception staff who immediately made work of...

I have been to this camp often and have never seen many animals. That being said staff are friendly and stores are not over crowded. Its a great first stop for a longer period in the Kruger as it is close to the gate. The nearest town is visible from the camp

Reception is as poor as Letaba Rest Camp review. i just can't believe the management can allow such "overworked" and miserable people to sit (not work) at reception. on the screen behind the receptionist there is a long story about their "Mission" of service, i felt the TV should face the staff as they are the ones requiring the "pep...
