We were lucky enough to have 2 nights at Lukimbi recently and were blown away with the level of service from all staff. Garth is a great game driver who found a lion kill on our first game drive. One lion and two lionesses feeding on a buffalo under a tree full of 40-50 vultures and a jackal lurking nearby.... More

We loved this lodge. The room was spacious with a big canopy bed, seating area, terrace and bathroom with bath overlooking the river. The game drives were well planned with lots of activity of the animals and the sundowner was a nice closure of the safari day. The food was well prepared and the bar area was very cosy, having... I have stayed all over the world, this is easily my favourite place that I have stayed at. Everything about it was brilliant, the rooms, the view, the staff, the service. It deserves 6/5. It was way more than we were expecting and we were disappointed to be leaving after an almost perfect 5 days. We were checked in by... More

This a tale of two lodges, it delivered the best of times and the worst of times! The positives first. It is a truly stunning lodge offering the most most wonderful rooms. We had a huge bath tub in the window so you could have a soak watching the elephants , wort hogs and impala outside. The bed was comfy... More

We were all over or verging on sixty as one of us turned sixty the day we walked with Shane and Garth as rangers thru the bush. Nine sightings (five of rhinos), a Bush breakfast, a Bush lunch and 22km later we came back very excited by our day in the wilds, and comforted by our capacity to follow the... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and were not disappointed (wish we could have stayed for longer!). The large and luxurious rooms were magnificent - with wildlife on the doorstep (we saw Impala, Elephants, Warthog, Hippo, Buffalo from our windows - as well as the 'loo with a view'). The whole place was perfect, well organised, and really considerate to... More

5 star accommodation and food. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Rangers and Trackers keen to do their best for you. Lots of opportunities to see animals. Lots of animals to see. We saw something different on each drive.

Lukimbi is a great lodge in the Southern Kruger. It has a great location on the river and , even though there is a drought on at the moment (summer 2016) there is still a pool below the lodge that is attracting animals regularly. The rooms are well appointed and ours had a great view out over the plain directly... More

Just arrived today and done one Safari. Saw ALLOT OF rhino - they are in a blessed spot. Place is excellent, real lodge feel with individual lodges on walkways from the main lodge. All very well designed and a bit quirky with a toilet view of the bush, outside shower and a bath with a view of the bush too.... More

We just returned after spending four days at Lukimbi with two other families- all in 12 people with six kids ranging from 8 to 15. The staff at Lukimbi were very good and the food is outstanding. The very best thing though, is the waterhole downstairs. One night, two hippos dueled over the water hole. They bellowed at each other... More
