What a privilege to experience this diverse and rich wilderness on foot. An exclusive abundance of wild life, birds, trees and forests, vegetation, rivers, gorges and history. Our guides were exceptional, their enthusiasm contageous. Johna's comprehensive knowledge across all aspects of the region, encompassing the...More
It was our second time at Pafuri Camp. We did not think that we could replicate our first, most magical experience, but Pafuri keeps on giving! Yet again we were greeted like long lost friends by the staff, who did their utmost to make our...More

Gorgeous setting in this unfenced camp. You feel really surrounded and involved in the wildlife while staying at this ‘camp’. The staff are unbelievably friendly and efficient and food is great.
Over looking the river is a real bonus for watching buffalo, hippos, crocs and...More

Sorry for delay, flew back from another part of SA today! Drives, all food and drink (including alcohol except for special brands) are included. Food was very good and far too much of it, you won't be hungry. Walks I'm not sure about, I think they are included if they have rangers available but I'm not sure. We loved it, very different from other areas we go to; the birds were wonderful and the staff very kind and helpful. Hope this helps you make up your mind x

We flew from Johannesburg to Polokwane (less than 40 mins in the air) but if you checked out the mileage you could probably drive. We picked up a Toyota Fortuner hire car from Polokwane Airport and then drove up to Pafuri Camp. Stayed there for 3 nights (wish it had been longer) and then travelled down the Kruger staying over at the main rest camps, Shingwedze, Mopani, Olifants, Skukuza and Satura leaving via St Pauls Gate. We only stayed one night at each camp but if we did the trip again would stay two nights at each.
