The closer we got to Satara the more Americans we noticed. We had actually run into very few as we moved across Kruger. This must be a popular tour bus camp. It is pretty large and had the largest restaurant area. It actually has two restaurants options, Mugg & Bean and the pizza place. That was a change from Olifants... More

I stayed at the place in a bungalow (code BDsomething) for 3 Nights in May 2016. The most important thing: Satara is located in Big Game Country. On one day i experienced sightings of the Big Five, a lot of warthogs, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, mongoose, different kinds of antelope and birds very often very close to the road. The game... We stayed in one of the bungalows. Comfortable beds, clean unit and have all the basics one needs. We managed to spot the big 5 around Satara. Spoil yourself with one of the game drives on offer. Ask the friendly reception staff for more information on which one will be the best. It is not a very big camp but... More

My husband and I were part of a seven person short term missions trip from the US to South Africa. The missionary that we were visiting and working with booked us at Satara Rest Camp for two nights while we were in Kruger National Park. These accommodations were great...nothing plush and luxurious, but very clean and comfortable which is what... More

We stayed in a BG2 Bungalow. It was a basic freestanding self-catering Bungalow, although they are basic they are clean and comfortable. It had 2 single beds and a fridges but no kitchen. Satara Rest Camp has a petrol station, shop and restaurant. We love the Satara Camp and the area around the camp as it is in the central... More

We find Satara Camp to be very central in the KNP and it is usually around Satara that we find most of the animals. It is a quite camp with all the amenities (restaurants, shops) one requires. Overall a great place to stay!

I was at satara this weekend and it was absolutely amazing. The staff at reception was very friendly and easily offered information on activities and rates. The chalets are well equipped to give you the best Bushveld experience during your stay. Highly recommended!

I've been to Kruger twice and the first time visiting I stayed outside of the park. My second time visiting, I had a bungalow at The Satara Rest Camps for 2 nights. Best thing about staying inside the park is the price and saving time traveling to the park for the morning game drive. Satara rest camps are located in... More

We stayed here for 3 nights at the very beginning of April and Satara Rest Camp was busy. I loved staying in one of the rondavels - it was just charming. We had a one bedroomed bungalow with twin beds. It's simple accommodation and, although some of the furnishings are a little old and dated, I felt it added to... More

This was my second camp after Oliphants and I rate Elephants the better of the two, though that isn't to say I didn't enjoy my stay at Satara. The camp is set on the low ground and many animals wander the boundary fences or just a little way out. I stayed on the perimeter in a bungalow which was well... More
