As a family we have been coming regularly to Satara and will continue to visit. If you are camping, try to get a spot along the fence to view the beautiful sunrises or sunsets, and the odd animal strolling by. Bathroom, kitchen and laundry facilities are well kept and clean. The rondavels are basic but very clean. Never leave any... More

The huts are pretty close together, but well insulated. Everything was clean and easy. Several food choices (the pizza was great and the grocery store had enough items to please most people). Great animal sightings near the camp.

We stayed in a double rondavel at Satara and it was very clean and well laid out with a nice braai and kitchen facilities. The camp itself is not exceptionally pretty or fancy but has some of the most amazing game viewing around it. We saw multiple lions, elephants and everything else in our couple days there. While we were... More

This camp is one of the nicest in the Kruger National although it is not as 'fancy as some of the others it had the most animals close to the camp. Clean bathrooms with nice hot water almost always. The restaurants nearby had friendly service but my be out of some products .... It is in the middle of nowhere.... More

The huts are very tired and in need of a refurbishment but this is the bush and a unique experience. Beds were very comfy and everything was very well cleaned and maintained. This is however the best experience EVER being out in the wild hearing the sounds of the bush...lions roaring at night, saw some amazing wildlife and the area... More

What a wonderful experience! The service was great - from reception when booking in to the cleaning of the chalet and the grounds in the camp. The chalet we occupied was clean and spacious, the beds and linen superb quality and the bathroom with shower and basin 100% functional. The "kitchen" is situated outside on the verandah and has all... More

My family and I camped in the Bushveld for 6 nights. This was my first visit to KNP and I got to turn 30 in the Bush. The camping areas were clean and the ablutions were well-serviced. The staff members were friendly and welcoming. Mpho B (night guard) and Katherine Wilkinson (ranger) are two people who definitely stand out when... More

The closer we got to Satara the more Americans we noticed. We had actually run into very few as we moved across Kruger. This must be a popular tour bus camp. It is pretty large and had the largest restaurant area. It actually has two restaurants options, Mugg & Bean and the pizza place. That was a change from Olifants... More
