Great river view bungalows. The camp was well maintained and the accommodation was clean. Yes the accommodation could do with upgrading but this is not going to have a significant impact on your stay. What more does one need? Clean bed, bathroom and all the necessary appliances for a pleasant stay. Bedrooms have airconditoning. Big patio and usable Braai makes...

My wife and I stayed at Skukuza Restcamp just one night at the end of January 2016. We went there after spending 4 nights in very expensive luxury lodges in two private game reserves. The restcamp was very positive surprise. The rooms have all you need; there is a shop where you can buy everything for your own barbecue. Because...

Skukuza is Kruger's main camp and feels like a village. The rooms are 'mass market': basic, clean and aimed primarily at self-catering, domestic visitors. For folks from Europe (such as myself) the restaurant and sandwich bar are okay, and the location for game viewing (It is on the Sabie River) offers promise - though I've not soon much game on...

Skukuza is a big restcamp with a very decent new restaurant, Cattle Baron. (Better than Mugg & Bean in my opinion.) Location is very good for game viewing in the area. This time, we stayed in a bungalow (LB2D) which was surprisingly nice! Maybe this is one of their newer or renovated bungalows?! (Because I remember previously staying in one...

Some might find the size of this camp a bit off-putting but it is very well run. We were fortunate to stay at the Nyathi Guesthouse so we essentially had our own area overlooking the river - a spectacular view and a v nice house. One thing people should know about these bigger houses however is that the ALL 4...

Spent 6 nights in the park - staying at various parks board accommodation. Cattle Baron restaurant was lovely, location and animals fantastic. But of the 5 camps we stayed at this was by far the worst accommodation as the bathroom was very mildew and caused room to smell

Skukuza, being the largest of the rest camps, has everything you could need. The check-in staff were extremely helpful, and pleasant. We stayed in a safari tent, which was absolutely spotless. It was very hot, but the fan worked a treat.

We stayed in Skukuza 2 nights in a bungalow on a recent 4 night trip through Kruger (in Pretoriskop and Satara the other nights). By far, Skukuza had the most amenities and best food options. I like the location--really close to the river, fun animal-watching at breakfast/lunch. Easy to head out on drives and find a ton of animals (check...

We spent a few nights at Skukuza Rest Camp during our trip through South Africa. The huts are well-equipped for cooking, bathing and sleeping and kept very clean. Due to the fact that there is no air con in the bathroom it can get very hot there. Game drives depend on the luck of the draw really. We were very...

This is a very large camp. We stayed in 4 camps in total (Punda Maria, Shingwedzi, Pretoriuskop and this one). Views from the restaurant are excellent. It's located right at the edge of the river. Restaurant is the best we encountered in all of the 4 camps. We stayed in a BE2 bungalow. Nice and roomy, but a noisy A/C....
