We stayed here for one night on our family holiday touring SA. We also stayed at the restcamp at Pretoriuskop the previous night. It is really nice to stay in the park itself and it has a good atmosphere with lots of people around and many of them BBQ-ing in the evening. The accommodation itself was a bit of a... More

A lovely camp driving up to Shimawanee the next day. The bungalow was clean but only one shower off one room and bath for the other which would be ideal for children - remembering the water issue though. The shop was nice, usual items on sale.

Stayed in the bunkhouse (with a big group of teens) in the camp. Easy walking distance to the restaurant and other parts of the camp. Rustic, though the bungalows looked really nice. Easy to arrange game drives and other activities. The river view from the restaurant is fabulous. The flood was decent, and wifi appreciated.

We stayed in the roundevals, which are permanent structures like a motel room. Heat, AC, private shower, doors. Ours had a kitchenette and fire pit / BBQ. ( Though tent accommodations are available as well as camper hookups.) The area is kept very neat and clean. The restaurant veranda overlooks the Sabie River where you can occasionally see bison, and... More

Staying in Skukuza is equal to being in a small village - bush style. Before booking your accommodation carefully go through the options available. My opinion is the only viable option is to stay in the river front chalets. The others all look onto each other and appear to have shared kitchens. Almost everything you could need can be obtained... Surprised by great service from staff to awesome new shops and restuarant experience overlooking the river. Felt part of the bush with warthog greeting in morning. Was pleasantly surprised how well maintained it were. Looking forward to cottages bein upgraded like rest of camp.

Definitely not my favorite rest camp – way too big and busy. Nice outlook over the river and it was cool having warthogs roaming around the camp. The rondavel rooms were quite basic but satisfactory. The service in the restaurant wasn’t very good and the food was pretty average. The breakfast buffet was disappointing – no fruit, yogurt, or cereal!... More

Kruger is a joy. A real bucket list item. Skukuza is the "capital city" of Kruger if you like, the biggest lodge by miles. Very central for all game drives. Loads of parking and good restaurant facilities both fast food and more formal. Great souvenir shop and very nice chalets.

Spent 1 night here. Smooth, speedy & friendly check-in, bungalow was clean and had all facilities & amenities we needed. Shop provided for everything we wanted and I was impressed with the selection of food for self catering. Had dinner at Cattle Baron which was great - our steaks were cooked to perfection, our waiter gave us excellent service and... More

Skukuza is a wonderful restcamp. Facilities were neat and the contents of the shop made us stay longer than we wanted to. 😊Although we were there during a very busy holiday season we found parking easily. A very peaceful place! Going to the Kruger is not the same without a visit to Skukuza!
