Stayed in three camps in our week (Oliphants, Skukuza and Berg en Dal) and it is worth moving around to see the different areas. Skukuza offered the traditional Rondavel type hut which had a basic but clean bathroom, outside fridge and simple braai (BBQ to the rest of the world). The room was comfortable, and as I had no real... More

On the banks of the Sabie River, the most well-known Rest Camp in the Kruger National Park - equipped with everything you may need out in the bush! Great food, gas & amenities. You will love it! Stay on the river.

Our last night in Krueger was here. It was very full so we had a place a bid away from all, it was not very nice and had no stove and no toaster. The beds were just io. Very busy place. We did like the restaurant. Food was good and prices fair. But I wood not stay here again.

The shared bathroom facilities are cleaned multiple times a day and brightly lit, and everything worked properly. You can find most things you need at the shop, including snacks, groceries, books, cameras, binoculars, shirts, etc. There is a small museum/library tucked away near the entrance and is a nice place to relax and read some magazines. There is a river/outlook... More

We stayed 3 nights May 28-31. 1st night in interior bungalow and the next 2 in river side bungalow. Interior bungalow does not have stove and I had to use the communal kitchen nearby. Also the fridge is outside with no cage for baboons! Glad we shifted the next day as we had contemplated staying put in this one. River... More

We stayed in this Bungalow in 2004 and nothing changed in 11 years. I am in a wheelchair and on this visit I struggled with the facilities at Skukuza - the other camps have improved significantly (they previously had no access), but Skukuza has not been reviewed and needs grab bars in the shower and near the toilet. I have... More

The Rondovals are very comfortable. They are air conditioned with comfortable beds with clean sheets, not luxury by any means but every comfortable. Great game drives in the area There is a very nice restaurant, a "general store"and excellent views of the Sabie river. Much more than I expected given many of the reviews I read before our trip.

Every time I arrive in Skukuza Rest Camp, I am reminded why I love this rest camp. It is the heart of the Kruger National Park, an unchanged gem in an ever changing world. We can still remember running around the reception building and can point out trees (now large and proud) and green spaces that were our play grounds... More

We arrived in Skukuza, the campside is big. Very clean. Built our tents next to the fence, went to the shop to get some food, drinks, wood and charcaol, prices are reasonable. Because we had a spot next to the fence, we saw a hyena pass by few times, scary but amazing. Every camping area has a braai, so we... More
