We recently spent five days and four nights at the Royal Malewane, staying in one of two two-bedroom suites. Everything about our stay from our arrival to our departure was unforgettable. Our suite came with a personal chef (HUGE shout-out to Chef Gift) and butler (another HUGE shout-out to Ashell). The food Gift prepared for us was nothing short of... More

Royal Malewane is the most beautiful and luxurious place we have ever been. (It is probably the most beautiful and luxurious place anyone has ever been.) 1. Our guide Nicola and tracker Bennett gave us an extraordinary game experience. Because the animals are "relaxed," the range rover can get within a few feet of them. Imagine that you're in the... My wife and I can not say enough great things about this lodge. Under Edward's leadership, the people made our stay so memorable. Riaan and Shadrack were a great guide/tracker team. We saw so much game and learned so much about animal behavior. They were calm under fire when we encountered a black rhino who was protecting her baby. The... More

This was our second three night safari experience in a row and we couldn't have ended our trip on a higher note! 5 Star luxury accommodations, first class gourmet food and service along with ranger (Piet) and tracker (Patrick) who were incomparable. If you want to "rough it" this is not for you, but if you want adventure with comfort... More

Royal Malewane is a visually stunning property! The massive lounge/living room area is decorated with elegant furnishings. One of my favorite pieces was a spectacular, cut-velvet couch in a striking shade of green There are unique, gorgeous, regal looking, high-backed chairs. Compelling art pieces are everywhere you look. The guest suites are absolutely beautiful and immaculately clean. General Manager, Edward... More

The Royal Malewane was quite possibly the nicest experience we have ever had traveling as a family. Our two teenage girls, my wife and I had an amazing time. The lodge is intimate, with few rooms, amazingly friendly staff and beautiful surroundings. The twice daily game drives were to be remembered for a lifetime. The food was to die for... More

Last year we visited Royal Malewane and fell in love with its many wonderful features. If this is your first Safari (our third year in a row) please understand that the greatest danger is not the animals, rather it is the very large thorns abundant on the ever present Acacias. None of us had a problem, but one must be... More
