Amongst the best experiences I had in a lifetime, absolutely NO issues what so ever. reception, staff throughout, the restaurant , wine cellar, game drives.... TOP. Very relaxing environment, would book it back in a heartbeat
My husband and I stayed for 5 days and couldn’t believe what a fantastic time we had. The staff were amazing Ryan was particularly good. A very interesting young man. Our Guide Comen and tracker David were outstanding. We saw the Big five and on our last morning saw 4 of the 5 again. Their knowledge and skills were outstanding and great company too. Cannot stress how much we enjoyed it. We are still talking about our experience and we have been home over a week.
We did 3/3 nights at two of the Singita properties in South Africa: Boulders and Lebombo. While this is our first ever safari experience, we had truly amazing and impeccale experience at both properties. Singita delivered an ultra luxurious, indigenous, and special experience seamlessly and consistently. The Lebombo property is one of Singita's two properties at Krugers National Park. We were transported by Federal Air from Sabi Sands...quick 20 mins flight. Lebombo was another spectacular Safari experience delivered by Singita, although this property feels very different from Boulders. Lebombo means the land of lions, needless to say, we saw many lions of different prides and coalitions. In addition, the Krugers Park terrain where Lebombo is very unique with many dramatic hills and cliffs. Similar to my review on Boulders, instead of going on and on, below are few highlights from our stay I will always fondly remember and look forward to coming back in the near future. 1) The lodge is one of the most innovative product of Singita, resembles an eagle's nest. The lodge sits dramatically high on top of a cliff overlooking the N'wanetsi River. The common area is very open and connected in an elongated horizontal. Therefore, be prepared for lots of walking and stairs climbing from the lodge to your villa. 2) The villas are beautifully decorated...indeed like an eagle's nest, you are surround by all glass walls. You are right there, up high above the river, with nature. The bedroom and living areas are very comfortable with open view; the bathroom area was very uniquely arranged/built but slightly too rustic for our taste, I must admit. 3) The dining experience truly stands out at Lebombo...certainly it doesn't hurt to be home to the Singita Community Culinary School. :-) The quality of the dining experience was very high...some of the dishes are comparable to NYC Michelin level restaurants. The wine paring recommendation and experience was also very strong. 4) The staffs were great and were like family...know you on first name basis, know your food likes/dislikes, genuinely enjoy hearing about your game drive experience, and tireless preparing your favorite flat white at 5:30am and even put in a sippy cup for the drive! 5) Last but certainly not least, our guide Sean was so incredibly knowledgeable and nice to be around. We had some truly spectacular sighting and got to spend some unclose and personal time with the animals. It was a truly spectacular and beautiful experience...I was literally in tears on our way out. Safari was a profound experience to me, Singita really made it extra special.…
Our travel agent planned our first trip to South Africa, which included 4 nights at Singita Boulders then 4 nights at Lebombo. Excellent planning! The two lodges provide excellent safari and resort experiences whilst having interesting differences. The cliff side lodge at Lebombo provides a modern “nest” experience. The view from your bed is amazing, and while I was taking a bath, a monkey outside the window groomed itself, too - monkey see, monkey do! Many thanks to Ishmael and Given for amazing safaris - we saw lionesses with 7 baby cubs, mama cheetah with her 3 cubs, mama hyena with her 4 cubs, plus many more animals. Our guide and tracker had a great deal of information to share about the animals, their habits and environment. They know the concession well. The food was outstanding and we so appreciate the efforts to provide wine pairing with special dinners, and even a road trip to the other lodge to get a requested wine! We will always remember our time at Lebombo, and living under that big sky in Kruger Park. A trip of a lifetime!…
I spent 4 days at this resort and cannot say enough about it. The rooms are gorgeous and located near the water where you will see animals all through the day. The guides and trackers (the most amazing people ever) take you out early in the morning and then again in the afternoon where you will see wild animals of every kind, elephants, cheetahs, lion prides and even Rhino on a good day. The staff at the resort is unbelievable as well and they are involved in the conservation of the animals. They will also set up a bed outside on your terrace with a net so you can sleep under the stars, it was magical. I loved everything about this place and never wanted to leave. I highly recommend staying here.
