We planned on staying in a one bedroom cottage, but could not get one. This was opportune as all the two bedroom cottages have a view towards the river. The camp is clean and tidy, as were our rooms. We had a spaceous lounge and kitchen area, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and an outdoor, under cover veranda with tables and...

I stayed in one of the bungalows which was dated and basic but had everything you needed for a one night stay. I think camping is the best accommodation for the kruger but I didn't have a tent with me on this trip. Reasonably priced room and ours was right next to Mugg and Bean and the river so had...

Letaba has a warmly welcoming staff and a really great manager. Winslow keeps a discreet eye on the reception and if you have to wait he rushes out and ushers you into his office to check you in. The camp is immaculate...OK there are one or two things in the units that may need attention, but we understand how stretched...

Clean bungelow on the perimeter. Game right in front of our accommodation. The lady at reception was a bit unkind as she was not willing to hand out our key before 2pm (It was 20 to 2). One of the bigger rest camps but the shop was well stocked over a long week-end. The pump attendant was not keen to...

If ever you want to forget about the rest of the world and commune with nature and wildlife the Kruger Park is the place to go. Letaba Rest Camp is situated right in the center of the Park and the closest access gate is approx 50 km from Phalaborwa Gate. Don't let this put you off. The drive through the...

As a family this is our favourite camp site. We took a family self catering cottage and had a magic paella braai under the trees in the evening. The sun was setting creating a typical African sky. We were right on the river front and there was plenty game to be seen. The accommodation was to our satisfaction and it...

Letaba Restcamp has always been a vavourite camping site of my family. The camp is well equipped with a shop for esentials and a brand new restaurant overlooking the Great Letaba River (usually dry with a small stream close to the camp fence). The camping area is very popular and can become crowded and slightly noizy in the evening. The...

The Letaba campsite in the middle of the Kruger National Park is one of the prettier camps with a long riverside frontage overlooking the Letaba River. Overnight huts and cottages are arranged in the Kruger Park circles with mature trees providing much needed shade. Birds fly all around the camp and it is easy to take engaging photos of the...

First time we've stayed at Letaba and would definitely return.we stayed in a cottage sleeping 6. It had full kitchen facilities and was very comfortable. It's a stunning part of the park and really is the best value for money you can get for a safari experience. You can spend a whole lot more to experience Kruger and if you...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The idyllic Letaba Rest Camp is situated on a sweeping bend of the Letaba River, midway between the southern and northern boundaries of the Kruger National Park. The name means "river of sand", and the sandy riverbed is an excellent location for game viewing, particularly elephant, which thrive in the area. Letaba is a green oasis in the surrounding mopane veld, and remains a firm favourite with visitors. At night the stars overlook a symphony of sounds. Owls, nightjars, frogs, fruit bats, crickets and cicadas all vie to be heard, until the lion roars, then all are silent. ... more   less
