Letaba is one of the main camps in the centre of the Kruger National Park, Mpumalanga, South Africa. The Letaba river runs next to the camp. There are huts, chalets and a camping area. A shop, swimming pool etc is available. Comfortable stone paths in the camp makes it convenient to walk around the camp and there is lights in... More

I have stayed many times at this camp, not a place to go if you want 5star accommodation but it is clean and comfortable. There is plenty of game viewing around this camp and this is surely the reason for going to Kruger. I have never come away without many happy memories of all the game I have seen. Go... More

We stayed in Letaba for 3 nights. We had a very nice bungalow with kitchen and even a microwave. We forgot a torch in the bungalow and after two days contacted the camp management. The torch have been kept for us and we were able to get it a week later when passing through on our way to other camps.... More

Letaba rest camp in the Kruger National Park is a beautiful camp on the banks of the Letaba river. The staff is also very friendly and professional. Our three bed bungalow was however very old and not upgraded to our disappointment. The bungalow was trapped in a time warp.

We had a bungalow overlooking the river, # 64 which is right at the end and one of the best 3 sleepers IMO. There is a Mugg and Bean restaurant with superb views over the river and into the bush. There is also the Elephant Museum in camp where one can view the past tuskers of the KNP, fascinating and... More

This was our first camp inside Kruger and turned out to be our favorite. We love the little round hut with the sliding door separation between the sleeping quarters and kitchen area. We also still had a small porch. We were situated next to the Mugg and Bean restaurant. A bit surprised to see the hold that Mugg and Bean... More

We stayed in one of the tents at Letaba. The park is clean and neat, well looked after. The tents don't have kitchens or bathrooms but be well assured that the communal kitchens and bathrooms are clean. The staff at reception is very friendly and willing to assist. We didn't experiance any noise from the staff village as others had... More

We stayed in two bungalows, one of which overlooked a semi-circular park area bordering the Letaba river. The bungalows were neat and well-equipped although very close to each other. This can be problematic if a neighbouring bungalow goes into party mode which happened one night. The walk-way next to the Letaba river is superb, offering wonderful views over the riverbed... More

Camp has a nice bush feel with tame bushbucks walking around on the premises. Accommodation is like everywhere in Kruger: a bit dated, but well maintained, serviced, clean, fully equipped, and the rondavels and tents fit beautifully in the surroundings. The camp has a nice 'promenade' along side the river with great views and lovely spots for food and drinks... More

Why does one go camping in the bush. This is a rhetorical question really. The noise and music from Letaba staff village is unacceptable. This is not Sun City. However a National Park where people plan in a years advance to enjoy some rest and hear the sounds of the bush at night. I can't understand why the duty manager... More
