Love their tent accommodation , expected to rough it out in the park but we had heat and hot water readily available, good buffet breakfast, helpful staff and great sorroundings. Beautiful sunrise and sunsets. Wifi is available at the lodge only.

This was glamor camping at its finest. Nice breakfast and dinner spreads, lovely lodge, but very disappointing WiFi service. I was here on a Grand Circle tour, and their Foundation helps support the nearby village we visited which is on the same land. We had two great days of game drives, where I saw the Big Five both days. The... More

We did the Golden Oldie 3 day, 2 night safari with Nhongo Safaris. It was a really good experience. The highlight was the walking safari on the last morning though. Going in a jeep is good but the guide can, at times, sound like she is regurgitating info from an encyclopedia. The walking safari with Chris and (sorry can't remember... More

To me camping conjures up a picture of Eureka tents, thermarests, sleeping bags, bush toilets and very cold showers. This was not our experience. The tents were truly luxury -- big double beds, real sheets, misquito needs, hot showers. They were more like rustic cabins. The lodge was well appointed. The food was good. There was a pool and a... Spent 3 nights at the Nkambeni camp which is inside the Kruger National Park. The accommodation is a bit like glamping but has all the facilities you need. It isn't 4 star but it packs a lot in. The accommodation are individual 'tents' with ridged walls and a small deck for those night time drinks. The main building houses all... More

I think it's a very nice place to stay for the price, we really don't have complains! Right in the border of the Kruger, so you have a fee reduction to get in the Kruger. Super calm, the tents had an amazing view, in the morning we even so some bambis and hipos. The ac worded perfectly, the outside shower... More

A nice and clean campside with good showers. They have a nice pool and just at the other side of the pool is a waterhole where hippos are living. The campside is located just before the entrance to the Krüger Nationalpark.

We travelled with ATC and erected our tents in the camping area. Depending on what area you are allocated they are mostly the same, dirt and lots of trees. There is an amenities block close by your camp area which has plenty of hot water and great pressure. Unfortunately there is nowhere to hang your clothes etc in the shower,... More

The "tents" are more like chalets with canvas walls. Clean and comfortable with good air conditioning. No TV, fridge or telephone, but who needs these on safari? The lighting was poor, difficult to read unless you are under the bedside lamp. The showers (both inside and outside) were excellent. Overall the "tent" was quiet, but you could hear passers-by occasionally.... More

My husband and I travel with Grand Circle Travel and Overseas Adventure Travel. Both of these sister companies consistently offer excellent value for the money. They are able to do this by choosing mid range accommodations which are clean and comfortable although not luxurious. Nkambeni works with the local community in assisting the economy and the schools. We found the... More
