Overall this lodge was wonderful. It was great service by the staff, clean and beautiful rooms and facilities, the game guides were informative and I felt safe. Most of the food was pretty good tasting, although there is room for improvement there.

An excellent lodge with friendly & polite staff. The forest ranger was knowledgeable . and humuorous. The food was very good and any suggested change in the menu was done to the extent possible. .Dinner at 1900 hrs we felt was a little early..To enjoy the place one needs to cool off with a glass before heading for a meal. After 2 (good) nights at Lower Sabie Camp we decided to spoil ourselves with our last night in a luxury private lodge. We drove to the main camp where we were then transported to camp shawu (which was more exclusive!) The ranger ignored us, preferring to talk to his colleague in the passenger seat and drove fairly quickly past a...

We are experienced Kruger visitors and on our way back from Mozambique we decided to do a stopover at Kruger national park. We tried to book one of the lodges we knew but due to the late booking the options were limited. We stayed at Shishangeni (Shonga tented camp) for 1 night. The tent was great, great experience to stay...

The place is very nice and confortable, and the service is great. Very good quality food. We were in some private reserves and Camp Shonga, and the experience...

We stayed at Camp Shawu. It is a very exclusive camp with only a few lodges build at the banks of a lake. We saw many hippos direct from our room/private terrace. At morning the was an elefant coming along. It was amazing. Our room was large and comfortabel. Also the bed. There was a fireplace to heat in winter....

The lodge is very well located and comfortable and the staff is absolutely fantastic, always very kind and ready to help in all our needs. The Rangers, our guides on the Safari were all very experienced and this made us feel very safe and allowed us enjoy the beauty of the contact with nature and the beautiful animals.
