What used to be a nice place is now run by young volunteers from all over the world (free labour) who don't know what's going on and seem to have no leadership. They sit on their computers and Iphones the whole day and try to assist but seem pretty clueless....some even quite unfriendly or at least totally unsuitable for the... More

Stunning views, friendly staff with a bar on site and away from civilisation. Great for star gazing at night. However the facilities were run down and needed maintenance and I'd expect the comunal dinner to be cheaper than it was (R80).

Wild Farm has gorgeous views which are a nice backdrop for sundowners. The room was fine if a little small, as were the bathroom facilities, but nothing spectacular. You really need a car here, definitely with good suspension as getting up and down the hill is a bit of a faff. We found some of the staff a little disinterested,... More

Very cool place at the end of the road when you think you took the wrong direction. They have nice doorms and a cool communal area and I enjoyed the group meals they offer every evening. If you don’t have your own car this place might be a bit of the route for you cause you will take some time... More

Out of the way, miles from the town, no local information available. Beautiful area but poorly maintained. Shower areas weren't hygienic. Hot water was intermittent. Dinner was just passable. Spaghetti bolognaise - no salad, or bread. Same price for meat eaters and vegetarians. Run out of wine. Etc etc

Yes we are a little bit out of the way but now where does it say we are in town! We clean our bathrooms everyday as well as the rooms and commons areas. Its hard to believe that dinner was just passable and we always make salads with our dinners! As we are out of the way it does sometimes... More

Back packers paradise! Comfortable accommodation for single travellers or adventurous families. Kitted kitchens and clean bathrooms give travellers a comfortable experience of having a home away from home. The dining area has free WiFi and gives you an opportunity to take photos of the breathtaking views and share them with friends all around the world.

The wild farm backpackers was one of the most beautiful hostels I have ever stayed at!! Gorgeous property and friendly staff. Only draw back was the difficulty of getting to and from the town of wilderness since I didn't have a car. The lovely staff offered to drive, which was great.

Very friendly place to visit. You really feel like you are at home. The views are just amazing being on top of the mountain looking out on the ocean in the distance. Marvelous sunrise and sunset views.

It wasn't my first time travelling to this gem of a backpackers. The garden route is a place that's very special to me and its always great to come back here. Thanks to it being located right on top of Wilderness heights, the view of this special place is something else. There are few better pleasures in life than drinking... More

Could be little more friendly and breakfast was a joke, everyone was trying to grab food at the same time. If they prepared before hand it would have made a big difference. The entertainment area wasn't always accessible.
