We stayed in the Bower, which has a prime location on the banks of the river with private deck and garden, and beautiful views overlooking the river. The room is very spacious and well kitted out, and the friendliness of the staff was excellent. The room is self catering, but we ate out most of the time, including at the...

What a beautiful place. We rented a little house with 2 floors. Our view from our bed was so beautiful and when we opened the doors the sun would sine on the bed. What else do you want. Only the food was not so great, but you have your own kitchen, so you can make something yourself. Perfect place for...

We have stayed over for one night at Umzimkulu Lodge during December 2016. There was enough room in the cottage which have a separate shower and bath. The cottage was very tidy and clean on our arrival. The cottage was private and have its own deck with stunning river and mountain views. The trout we had for dinner on the...

We stayed in the Pygmy Chalet. It was well equipped, lovely little patio to sit outside and enjoy the view. The stairs to the bedroom were definitely 'awkward' and would be no good if you had mobility problems. Also be aware no aircon or TV (we didn't mind) plus side it is a peaceful location. Owners were lovely and very...

Wonderful getaway, the cottage we stayed in was well appointed and comfortable. A treat for us was the trip along the river in a tube. Sun downer's on the deck on a long summer evening unwinding was just what we needed.

The overriding impression of Umzimkulu is how much it is loved. Lynn and Steve have made a beautiful place, all of the staff are engaged and happy, the general sense of it is a place of happiness. The room was nicely decorated, clean, and simple. This isn't 5-star accommodation, it's somewhere you'll be glad to kick your shoes off, or...

We loved our stay. The Gaint Cottage is very spacious and prefect for a large extended family. We loved walking a few times daily burning energy and the river tubing and river swim/splashing was a highlight!!!
