We were welcomed by Elsabe and Happiness who made us feel like long lost friends. Our luggage was carried into tthe most beautiful furnished cotttages. Everything shouted '"WELCOME!'" Here you can relax and find your soul again. Walking down to all the lovely spots intthe garden, overlooking the river at the bottom and amongst flowers and tranquility, is magnificent. No...

Huck & Elsabe are such wonderful hosts and they have such a beautiful place nestled on the top of a hill overlooking a gorgeous river below in the valley. Huck has a wealth of knowledge on the area and can give great ideas on where to take an drive or day outing. There are many peaceful walks along the property...

We stayed here for one night only whilst on our road trip. The room was very clean, with everything you need for a stopover. There are some lovely walks in the area but unfortunately we never had time to do any. Happiness was on hand if you needed anything. All in all a very peaceful and friendly place to stay.

What a beautiful, peaceful place to stay. The owners are the friendliest, warmest couple we have met in a long time - we felt so welcome. Stunning views from the decks, river walk is amazing, rooms were comfortable, pretty, cosy and had everything we needed. The Lemon Tree Bistro is a great place to eat - cappucinos in particular were...

Once you get into the town of Underberg, it takes another ten minute drive down a well-maintained dirt road to reach the cottage, but as soon as you arrive, you know it was well worth the drive. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owners, Huck and Elsabé who couldn't have been friendlier. We are not the type to self-cater,...

My Family and I drove from Johannesburg to spend a weekend at the Birches & Willows B&B. We were welcomed by Happyness - Room supervisor & later greeted by the owners Huck & Elsabe. The rooms are beautifully decorated in chintsey decor. Comfortable king size beds with white crisp linen were very comfortable with the highlight of the electric blanket....

Birches is quite remote - 5k down a dirt track from Underberg. The room is fine - but breakfast is only served at the Lemon Tree Cafe in Underberg - and it is frustrating that it doesn't open until 8.30am. All restaurants and shops etc are also in Underberg, so you are likely to be up and down the dirt...

We eventually found Willows down a 5 Km ish muddy, cow-poo ridden lane( just after milking). There was no one to meet and greet us on arrival, eventually we found an empty room with a note left on the bed for us . In this note were instructions about the breakfast arrangements - if you were happy with a continental...
