The staff were friendly and very helpful. The location was perfect and peaceful. The room was larger than the normal rooms and very spacious. The management are very accommodating and helpful. The whole process was a pleasure.
Very good stay but wasn't happy that I didn't get the room that I had booked initially a double deluxe room with an extra bed. We wanted to sleep in one room as a family and were offered two separate rooms and we were not happy, eventually got offered the family room and were ok with that. Enjoyed the breakfast.
My brother and I stayed at Hudson Haven recently on our trip to Pietermaritzburg. We needed to be close to the city centre's cricket grounds, and the location was perfect. The room was spacious and clean and the staff friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.
Thanks again to Andrew for hosting us for 6 consecutive comrades. Thank you for opening your home to us and making us welcome year after year. Always a happy place to stay at. See you on the down run 2020! The Bergonzi's

Check in was chaotic but Andre and Andrew helpful. Pull out bed was broken, tried to fix when we went out for dinner but still broken so an uncomfortable night, 2nd night all sorted. Bedroom was spacious, no hand towels. Clothes in the wardrobe, personal bits in the drawers and left over toiletries from a previous occupant. :( My boys excited at tennis court but the racquets have all seen better days. Confusion about the package as they are advertised on so many different site offering different prices and what is included etc.. Also check in times vary on all sites. Appreciate should have checked the finer print but took it at face value to what was read on the screen and conversations with Adel. Adel was away on our arrival and all the 5 star reviews mention her by name. I assume she is the glue that holds it all together. Beautiful surroundings, lovely gardens, close to our family and friends but not to the standard we have experienced travelling round South Africa for the last 21 days. As the most expensive of the accommodation around South Africa, we felt it fell short of what we had come to expect in terms of hospitality and quality of room Breakfast was very basic. No one on hand in the morning and the lady doing the washing sorted things out for us.…
