As with the majority of the other reviewers, my wife and I won our stay at Zulu Nyala through a charity auction. Based on some of the mixed reviews in 2013, at the time when we had won, I was a little skeptical of what to expect when we had arrived. However, the experience in total was a trip of...

Just back from a week-long stay at Zulu Nyala and I can't say enough great things about our trip! We stayed at the Lodge - Rm 41 - and I found it to be clean & comfortable. The room was a nice size, the bathroom was nice, the bed was comfortable, and all suited our needs perfectly. The grounds were...

This is a fairly nice property but it shows a lack of care and proper attention to detail. Our room was really quite nice, but other rooms were showing more wear and showed be closed for an update. The lobby area was cluttered, dark and worthless. It would be impossible to find one more inch to put a truly cheap...

We also bought our trip through a charity auction, as did all in our group. Although we had a very diverse group from all over the US, I feel that we have made life-long friends. We began in the Game Lodge and moved to the tented camp. Both were wonderful experiences - good food, accommodating staff, and comfortable rooms. The...

We had a wonderful visit! DEON was a wonderful guide, his love of the land and the animals is very noticeable! And he is so knowledgeable! We had so much fun with him, he accommodated our schedules and always asked "what do you want to do? The Game Lodge itself is quite nice and the food is good. we spent...

Our first destination outside of Jo'berg on a 2+ week experience in South Africa. We stayed at the Game Lodge rather than the tents. Our rooms were small, but clean. The staff was very friendly and quick to see to our needs. Our only complaint was that the buffet meals encouraged us to eat too much, and the food was...

Like many reviewers to Zulu Nyala, my wife and I also organized our trip to South Africa because we purchased a vacation at auction. We could not have been more pleased with our experience at Zulu Nyala Game Lodge because of the beauty of the surrounding area, our intrepid guide Philomon who truly enjoyed searching for animals and sharing his...

We bid on a stay at Zulu Nyala Safari Game Lodge at a fundraising auction. Our room was small, but clean - we had no issues with bugs as another reviewer commented. Many of our 10-member game drive group began to skip either lunch or dinner after three or four days as we were so well fed. We enjoyed that...

We arrived and expected a wonderful resort. We got a run down dump. Everything is dirty including the rooms. I opened my sheets the first night and bugs were crawling inside my bed. I am not sure the sheets had even been changed. I was creeped out the entire time. If you are expecting a 4 star resort go some...

Everything about this adventure was wonderful. We stayed in the tents. If you can get tent 22, it is the primo tent. Right on edge of reserve. Amon, our guide, was spectacular. Knowledgable, wise, responsive, great teAcher. We had read about him and heard from others that he is the best. Request him! The staff was wonderful. We made friends...
