We loved the Durban Elephant House very spacious, with a great view and atmosphere. Very large clean and comfortable bedrooms. Close the restaurants and to a wonderful museum. Our room was very nice, big! Beautiful bathroom, clean, swimmingpool present, in day time round 16.00 hours animals in the garden (monkey's for example), good breakfast!! We felt at home, and we loved the trip in the evening, searchend fot hippo's. And because of our 40 yeaurs of marriage: the champagne breakfast

We spent two nights here in November 2012 and were warmly hosted by Elaine and Brian. They have a beautiful home, the oldest building in Durban (dating back to 1850), and an unconditional, warm hospitality. The house is a historical and architectural gem included on some tours of the City and the hosts, Elaine and Brian Agar, have elevated hospitality to an art form. We stayed in Durban for 3 nights during the World Cup, and the D'urban Elephant House was the best place we had in our entire trip in South Africa. Luckily we had a car, so we could drive all over town, bc it's not on the beach like most places in Durban. The plus side is that two blocks away... More
