I recently stayed at the Acorn for several days. The hosts were wonderful. Don could not have been more helpful. He went out of his way to help me and ensure my safety at all times. After giving me a tour of some wonderful architecture in Durban on the way back from picking me up at the airport. After arriving,... More

The rooms are beautifully furnished with African decor, they are really welcoming . They are bedding and linen very neat. They are not too far from the beach, restaurants and malls. The management and the entire team are really friendly.

Acorn B&B is a very comfortable place to stay. The room that I stayed in faced the pool. The room was large and comfortable. The breakfast was really good. The management were very friendly and helpful.

The hospitality afforded me by Don was exceptional. This is the third time I have stayed here and it has only improved. Real home from home! Breakfast around a common table with all the other guests is fantastic and the option to eat near the pool is also good. Travelling with a big vehicle for business and having place for... More

I spent 12 extremely pleasant days last month at Acorn B & B - the setting is unequalled and the hospitality equally as pleasant. After arriving from a 25 hour trip from NA I was treated to a delicious SA breakfast, on their delightful porch, in perfect weather! The decor and ambience is nothing but spectacular. My stay was amazing... More

We stayed with Don and Barbara for three nights in February at the start of a month long holiday. Prior to our trip we'd been in email correspondence with Don and he'd been very helpful, giving us lots of tips about the battlefields and the Underberg. We were therefore a bit alarmed when he asked us to bring out a... More

Acorn B & B provided the most comfortable refuge with every amenity we required and with the most accommodating host. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel at home and at ease. The furnishings were intriguing and lavish with a strong African theme. The breakfasts were delicious - and in the Durban outdoors. Our host even booked... More

Although very central and convenient, it's nestled away enough to provide tranquility and natures beauty. Don the host was amazing, giving a relaxed, friendly and family atmosphere. The bnb it's self was beautiful! A lot of time and care has been taken to ensure every possible need you might have is taken care of. If I could give this gem... More

I stayed in a comfortable and beautifully furnished room in this fabulous B&B. Delicious breakfasts too. Don, thank you for your genial hospitality, and for your recommendations (and the odd lift) of places to visit. I recommend the Holocaust Museum (and the adjoining café) for anyone with an hour or two to spare.
