The place was stunning and was incredibly relaxing and just great overall. I would recommend the shower/bathroom area be thoroughly cleaned to remove old dirt marks as well as mould. The outside areas/stoop were being cleaned with dirty water. Water should be thrown out after each room/area is cleaned to ensure the dirty water is not just spread and floors wet to seem "clean". Overall staff and everything else was impeccable.

It comes down to value for money. Although I can’t complain too much without sounding like a brat…. There’s just a certain expectation one has when paying these prices. Starting of with the Winelands Signature Massage. Underwhelming 😔 service at Lord Charles restaurant was disappointing. Not that many people but it took 45 min to get Jalapeño Poppers and by the time it arrived it was cold… think someone forgot about it 🤷🏻♀️ luxury rooms I think is a bit of an oversell. It was pretty average. But the extra touch with the petals was nice. Somebody decided to have a party 3:00 in the morning and nobody went to tell them to put the music off… eventually I think they went to sleep after 5 😔 breakfast underwhelming. Fruit platter was bland and some of it was frozen 🙈 pastries a bit stale. Omelette was ok but nothing wow. Overall I expected more. If you pay these prices a certain expectation comes with it…. Not a bad place …. But definitely not value for money At least they made my birthday dinner a bit special. Thank you for that

WOW! Kievits Kroon went way beyond my expectations. I must say I am very particular when it comes to hospitality, dining and spa facilities. We were treated with such high standard of service from the moment we arrived. A special thanks to Yvette for advising on the perfect package for my husband and I. Sonto our amazing waiter, Phetty our spa hostess and Silvy the Chef for her 5 star cousine and reccomendations. I read some reviews prior to booking and had a few concerns about slow service, rooms ect. I can say that such fine dining and exquisite food is definitely worth the wait and with there being options of 2 and 3 course meals allow enough time between your meals and spa treatments. The attention to detail is something that really blew me away in terms of rooms and facilities. The ambiance is warm, cosy and memorable. It does not feel like you are in gauteng. The room was spacious and clean and the amenities were far more than we expected (even natural insect repellent), again every fine detail being well thought out and provided. The spa is exquisite and newly renovated. There is an amazing relaxation lounge where you are treated to complimentary canape' style eats and beverages. The spa hostess was very accommodating when I needed to change my appointments around.
The best covid protocols I have experienced thus far! We felt extremely comfortable with the different seating time slots, open tables in between, the waiters Sanitize everything in front of you and the general cleanliness of the whole place.
The only thing I would reccomend is having the spa, restaurant and hotel communicate an accurate itinerary per guest booking to get the best out of the experience.
Overall a wonderful experience
I will definitely be going back soon for another celebration based on the chefs reccomeneded gaurmet picnic and fine dining experience. Thank you!

The attitude of the hotel regarding Valentine's night was totally unacceptable.
They insisted that I had to take one of the two dinner options at a surcharge of either R 2500 or R1790, instead of the regular offering of the Al A Carte menus at any of their restaurants
Neither of those options was acceptable to me as I do not drink and am a pescatarian/vegetarian, nor did I want to see an outdoor movie and experience a picnic style buffet!
The hotel website offers one thing but cannot deliver on those offers.
They were totally intractable to my needs and were even rather high handed in the way they dealt with me - basically their way or the highway
I found it astounding as I was about to spend approximately R 10,000 to R 12,000 for accomodation, spa treatments and dinners
I will not consider the hotel for any future events

We booked at Kiewitz Kroon for a much needed weekend getaway. We had the most horrific experience at the spa. During our treatment in a room next to the pool area, people were screaming in the pool which disturbed what we were looking forward to being a tranquil massage. Only when we said something did the therapists go and complain to the reception but this made no difference to the noise levels. We then received terrible service at the Kingsley restaurant. It seemed everyone else was receiving good service but for some reason our waitress pretty much ignored us from beginning to end. A 10% tip was automatically added to our bill, a tip Surprise did not deserve. Then in the early hours of the morning, at around 1am we called reception to ask people in rooms next to us to keep quiet. They had been make extreme noise for hours, depriving of our sleep. Our experience at Kiewits Kroon, which is lovely venue has been extremely disappointing. We have stayed over at many places over the years however none have been as disappointing as what we have experienced this weekend.

We came here for a weekend, our room was dirty, the terrace door looked like it was never cleaned, the mirror was full of sticky finger prints. The pool in the spa was extremely noisy even though before you get an access you sign a document about keeping it silent , but there was nobody to control. Water in the pool was full of oily yellow foam, it looked disgusting. The girl at the reception promised to get it cleaned but next day it was exactly the same. The massage we took was the worst we ever had, plus after the session they were very insistently pushing us to buy their products. Food was average, once we had to call the chef to change the meal as it was not good. They did not have the half of the wines from the wine list. We won’t come back.

The staff are helpful and accomodating which can blind one to the fact that the rooms are outdated and in need of TLC. There was mould in the shower, the bedding in my non-smoking room smelled of cigarette smoke and the carpet did not feel or look clean. The coffee cups were sticky, clearly not cleaned properly from the previous occupant. They were installing fibre internet access resulting in the in-room telephones not being operative, I was added to a whatsapp group in order to be able to reach the front desk. The number of enquiries sent via this platform may have been minimised if there was an information pamphlet in the room. The panic remote in the room also added to wondering how secure the rooms were, thank goodness I did not need to use it! All of this aside, once alerted the staff addressed everything and our second day was much better (barring the mould which is a bigger problem than one day's cleaning). The negatives were made up for by the beautiful outdoors setting and fantastic meals in the restaurant. ps. they have reliable backup for power outages which was a real bonus.

Last Saturday, my family and I went to Kievits Kroon for a wine tasting. We tasted five wines each and also had a bread and cheese platter to share. Now the wine and food was very nice. But near the end of the tasting they asked us to pay an additional R 140 which they called a service charge. It was never mentioned in our correspondence with them before we went as they require guests to pay in full before arrival. I was not happy with this. Also, when we left the farm, the security at the gate asked us to open the trunk and made us feel like common criminals. I will not be back.

We have this as a standard practice and have unfortunately by doing this recovered many hotel items form vehicles visiting us for the day or even for a stayover, various items have been recovered from towels to pillows to gown and even TV's. We were looking for a luxury hotel where we could soend the weekend conveniently in the city and yet have a relaxed out of town feel. We got it! This is a lovely hotel, hands down. It looks and feels like you are somewhere in tge Western Cape Winelands. The food was divine. We sampled all the restaurants including the pool bar. Their meals are very tasty. The grounds and tge garden was without a doubt my highlight. The trees are mature and the lawn a thing of beauty. The bedroom is spacious even for two adults with 2 children and the bed is comfortable. The pool experience was the best for my kids owing to the clever dedign of the depth of the pools - neither shallow nor too deep.
There are two things the hotel has to resolve: The staff don't greet guests. They just walk past you and they do not even look at you. It's as if you don't exist at all. I was shocked! That is not to be cinfused though with their ability to deliver service. They do. And that 8s the main thing. But try to be nice. It makes a guest's day and adds to a guest's pleasant experience. Greet please. The second thing is the rooms need tv package upgrade. A guest must have 24hr access to premier news channels at least one local such as enca, Newsroom or SABC 404 and one international like CNN, Al jazeera or BBC.
otherwise this is a hotel we will happily return to without a doubt.

After booking luxury room for 11 th Feb , together with booking 7 course meal for the night of 11 th February , I am very unhappy about the hotel service, the lack of organisation and the general bad treatment my husband and I received.
We arrived at 13.10 on the day of 11 Feb and were received at reception by a lady called Linah. We got allocated room 97 of which it had maintained issues , namely , no functional door lock mechanism and phone was off line so we could not phone reception to alert them of door malfunction.
We resorted to phoning reception from our cell phone..
Then , A gentleman called Levi wanted to give us a lower priced room which we declined and he finally allocated us room 93. Now this room 93 had a seat with fabrics that was torn and in need of fresh upholstery!
Then we got ready for dinner.
Arrived at restaurant at 6.30 sharp only to find that the host is unaware of our booking for the 7 course dinner.
This host was very unprofessional and didn’t not know how to handle guests when there is a dispute or misunderstanding
. She told that there is no 7 course booking for (black ) people on that night and that the only 7 course booking was for (white) people. This statement I find RACIST!
Then , we were sent back to reception to enquire about our ‘missing’ 7 course meal booking.
On arrival there we were told by the gent: Levi , that EVA had not completed our dinner booking and that there were no ingredients to make that 7 course meal for us.
At this stage , my husband and I were very disappointed as we had an email confirmation of stay and dinner both of which were fully paid.
We were then made to sit at the restaurant without any one offering us something to drink or even not offered something as small as bread while we wait.
What was most disturbing as we were left neglected was that a (white ) couple that arrive 30 minutes after us were offered bread and drinks as we just stood there.
Also amazing was that there were ingredients available to make dinner for the white couple?????
We ultimately returned to reception and asked to be checked out of the hotel the same night of 11 th Feb .
The service we received is the poorest we have Eva seen and we’re very unhappy.
I request a refund for room and a refund for 7 course meal.
