This is a beautiful, quiet resting place. it is also has this private feeling to it. The staff is great and always there to help you. The reception is really welcoming with their two Great Bright Friendly Stars (Adele and Marie). Marie even drove me to Eugene Marais hospital which I didn't know, and helped me up to the reception,...

Good: Safe, parking, room stocks (enough tea, basic toiletries), fairly quiet, low traffic, fridge/freezer, many plugs/adapters, TV well-positioned, furniture-linen, etc. good, aircon present, tips not overtly expected, after hour access OK. Problem : Very steep, narrow staircase to some rooms (not advertised as disabled 'unfriendly'). Noisy visitors outside near parking area sometimes a nuisance. Breakfast service can be slow.

We stayed only one night. Friday evening. The rooms were well decorated and comfortable. The kids enjoyed the honesty bar/fridge. Only negative was no breakfast available on Weekends although they do offer a "picnic" type, roll, yogurt, juice, boiled egg, fruit, breakfast delivered to your room previous evening. Not practical for all diets. A very nice extra would be a fan...

We enjoyed it very much and Colleen was very helpful with sorted out things to do. Good breakfast and friendly service. The Gardenroom shower needs some renovation. A good place to stay in Pretoria. We would come again.
