A Landmark Cape Town Gem to always enjoy the Beautiful setting and excellent service with every visit. I have enjoy a few nights stay in the lovely contemporary hotel rooms and often enjoy visiting the Hotel just for lunch or tea on the terrace, while being mesmerized with the magnificent garden ahead. Popping in for a pre dinner drink is also always a good time in the social congenial bar lounge. The Angsana Spa is an absolute haven and well worth trying to be regular guest at to enjoy rejuvenating and relaxing treatments. I always enjoy each visit to the Vineyard Hotel no matter where I am on this beautiful property.

Our second time staying at the Vineyard since 3 years ago and we were kindly upgraded to a room with a balcony and a stunning view of Table Mountain. We enjoyed the fantastic breakfast with lots of choice on the menu and the option of dining inside or on the terrace. The rooms are spacious, bathroom is spotless but it is the staff that make this hotel so enjoyable. Everyone from the valet; housekeeping, catering and front of house are cheerful and courteous. The gardens are kept in immaculate condition and watching the giant tortoise going about his business in the garden is something you don’t see every day. If you haven’t hired a car or prefer the general buzz of the V&A then I suggest you give this hotel a miss as it is peaceful, relaxing and a welcome break from the commotion of the city. Kirstenbosch botannical gardens are also a 2 minute drive away and should be on your To Do list if staying here.. We will return again one day...

Location Ambience We bring visitors here on their first day in Cape Town. Fab mountain view. Lovely gardens for a post lunch stroll. A resident Turtle. It can be difficult to get a table Food We ordered sea trout (175 Rand) - great. Chicken Schnitzel (135 rand) - generous portion. We substituted the Sweet Potato fries with standard Potato Fries. Quiche of the day served with salad (85 rand) - excellent. Drinks A glass of bubbles is more expensive here than other restaurants (90 rand for Simonsig Rose). We also had a bottle of Lynx Rose (205 rand). A good but expensive wine list Service We had a super friendly waiter. He worked well for us. Others might be put off. Food All 3 of us were very happy. We did not order starters or dessert Overall I would return in a heart beat. The view & ambience is second to none. The food is good. The menu has lots of interesting choices that would not scare the horses.

Spent our first three nights in South Africa in this lovely hotel. Room was very nice and provided a wonderful and relaxing environment after 25 plus hours of airplane time to get to Cape Town. As we were with a small group, our transportation needs were taken care of by our guide, so not sure about Hotel shuttles. Both the main restaurants, (The Square and Myoga) were very good and the spread at the included breakfast each morning was plentiful and tasty. Only suggestion would be to have more staff at the egg preparation station as it does take a bit of time at peak breakfast hours. Pool, gardens, and decor were really attractive and added to The Vinyard's charm. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend.

We stayed for 5 nights last month, our third visit. We had a lovely courtyard 3rd floor room this year as opposed to mountain view last time. MV rooms are more spectacular but courtyard room was perfectly lovely with huge beds, great bathrooms and all the little extras you expect from this standard of hotel. Breakfasts are incredible, all the staff are super helpful and the terrace is lovely. We didn’t eat in Myoga or the Square this year as neither menus really appealed but we were happy to go out for dinner (reservations made seamlessly via the reservations desk). The pool and the gym are great (I had a couple of tough but fun and enjoyable PT sessions with the lovely Robyn). We initially were going to stay 4 nights but had to add an extra night on as we couldn’t bear to leave. Cannot wait till next February and another luxurious stay. Thank you!
