I Have recently stayed at Melleneys Guest House in Rivonia and it was an absolute treat - friendly staff, from the gardner, to housekeeping, chefs an of course Andrew the Manager - wonderful rooms, great food and very peaceful yet so close to the hustle and bustle of Rivonia and Sandton. Thank you - i will certainly be back and...

Situated in a busy street, this guesthouse is a little gem. Arriving you don't expect much but when you walk in you are greeted by warm, friendly staff and are soon to discover the beautiful gardens that surround each room to give you a relaxing environment. The rooms are large and walk out onto beautiful gardens. With underfloorheating you don't...

I enjoyed staying at Melleneys, due to the warm atmosphere and friendly service. Staff is very friendly and willing to go the extra mile. Each room is private, with seperate entrances and a private little garden. And the breakfast is excellent!

We'd stayed at Melleneys twice 9 & 10 years ago. Going back can be a risk - we'd had such a great time previously and we didn't want to be disappointed. We weren't. Melleneys is still the best B & B we've come across in its class, and, this time, after staying there for two weeks before touring the garden...

Don't stay here. The rooms are so cold in winter I had to keep the air conditioner on all night. The owner has posted the most ridiculous bossy signs in the rooms. They make you feel like a criminal. You get one tiny piece of soap. The beds are cheap and the mattresses thin and nasty. The only redeeming feature...

I've been staying at Melleney's on and off for nearly 14 years. I recently stayed there again and was delighted at the friendly and professional service that the guesthouse still offers. My room was luxurious and tucked away in a tranquil garden and although situated on a busy road I felt that I was somewhere in the country. I enjoyed...

I stayed in several rooms here on different legs of my trip, and all were fantastic. Beautiful features like private porches, outdoor showers, and heated tile floors. the two managers Andrew and Henni are wonderful, and all of the staff were so kind and helpful. Breakfast every morning was delicious. Andrew can arrange all your transport and set up appointments,...

Melleneys is a beautiful guest house which is sadly owned and run by people who should not be doing what they are doing. We were treated like second class citizens and after advising we would have another 6-10 guests coming during the week, the rudeness continued - resulting us in leaving and them losing out on business! Sad when the...

These people are in the wrong business! It is called the "hospitality" industry but they were very unaccommodating, uncompassionate at a very sad, traumatic and stressful time for my family and not pleasant to deal with. Definitely not recommended!

This is one of the guesthouses our company uses for business trips. Somehow I always get what they call the Avery (guess the owners are into birds), this is a room located outside of the main building. The room as no air-conditioning but it does have a ceiling fan that circulates the hot Gauteng air nicely. The bathroom is in...
