We started our trip around South Africa in Rutland House and received a very warm welcome there. Delia and her staff were very helpful and even arranged a private sightseeing tour for us around Johannesburg and Soweto. When we left for our trip to Krüger National Park we were offered to store excess baggage and allowed to borrow a guide...

We stayed at Rutland House for a week end of October, Delia is a very welcoming owner of an excellent establishment. The accommodation and the gardens are wonderful, it is such a pleasant stay away from the big bustling noise hotels, here you have personal service and are made to feel welcome. I fully recommend Rutland house as an excellent...

Delia has created a pocket of loveliness in Jo'Berg's beautiful verdant area of Craighall Park. From the moment I arrived, I felt swept up in welcome. All the touches create that special and hard-to-find 'home-from-home' quality: the beautiful flower-filled gardens and scents, the many different areas to relax, the books to enjoy, paintings and art works produced locally, the abundant...

Mags, Meeting guests who become friends in an instant is what makes running the B&B all the more worthwhile. I loved your visit - you are so vibrant - interested in everything and so positive. I felt rejuvenated by your visit. Cant wait for the next one. :-) Take care and see you ? next year ? Delia

Rutland House has such a homey feel to it. Delia, the friendly and hospitable owner adds to the character of her beautiful plants and trees and the manicured lawn within the grounds of her B&B. Delia herself cooked the delicious breakfast for us and she makes it from her heart! The area is a quiet residential neighborhood that is peaceful...

Friendly, peaceful 2 bedroom family cottage. Willing service and well situated for our school sporting purposes. Comfortable and clean. Cottage was suitable for our needs, private and away from any street disturbances. Undercover secure parking on offer for added peace of mind. An enjoyable, restful stay in the heart of Johannesburg.

Rutland House is located on 48 Rutland Avenue, Craighall Park, Johannesburg, South Africa. Delia is property's hostess and has owned the business for 20+ years. Rutland House is situated some 30 minutes drive from the airport and well worth the drive. The Rutland House property is spacious and green with flowers aplenty and impeccably groomed by a garden manager. There...

Rutland house was a lovely place to stay for our two nights in Joberg coming off of a transatlantic flight! Delia was incredibly accommodating, even driving us around the area and dropping us off at the car rental place. Breakfast was lovely as well. Coffee, rusks, fresh milk, and tea were all ready in the room when we arrived. Delicious...

Following the busy season back home, Rutland House B&B offered a great way for me to relax away from the usual hustle and bustle. Sara's breakfasts were delicious and I got to learn a new recipe . Delia offered and dropped me to my meeting destination during the cold mornings. The bird rests, pretty green compound and classic looking interior...

Very good family run B&B. Room was tidy and clean and we had everything we needed in the room from DSTV (cable tv), coffee and tea, rusks, etc. We stayed in winter and the heater and electrical blankets defnitley came in handy. I had booked my 9 day stay well in advance, had explained my special needs, as I wanted to recover in the vicinity of Sandton Clinic from a hip replacement until the infection risk was banned. Delia had agreed upfront to provide a microwave and extension cord for my laptop, even offered me to do some food shopping for me....

Thank you for your review Stella which took you a year to write. As a result quite a lot of the review is inaccurate. We did go out of our way to accommodate your needs but there was no way of pleasing you. Since about 80% of my guests are "ordinary African residents" from South Africa and many other African...
