Nice comfortable place with very courteous staff. The meals are great! The rooms are spacious and clean.I however hope they fixed the lift it had an issue when I was there . Carrying a 20kg bag down 3 flights of stairs isn't fun.

Visited at end of summer, gardens still looking good and warm enough to sit out, rooms nicely furnished but my floor was still being renovated, with ceilings missing. Public rooms pleasant, good breakfast (custom cooked eggs on a griddle and great juices), evening food a bit disappointing

You will be able to tell that its an old hotel, which would be an attraction to some travelers. This was a business trip for me and overall it was a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly. However, the rooms could do with some upgrading and refurbishments. The wifi facility was also a letdown, as my room, which not located...

I moved from a guesthouse and to the Sunnyside Park Hotel, it was a huge step up. The rooms are big with plenty of closet space, the staff helps you carry up your luggage to your room. There is coffee and tea facilities in the room and the breakfast is incredible. A huge buffet with all the brunch amenities you...

Overall, the place is ok. Old building, but not shabby. Wooden staircases makes you feel like you're at Hogwart's. Rooms are small but clean. They need to do something about the TVs, unbelievable to have CRTs in this day and age. Internet is mostly super slow. Worst of all is the staff. Save for Mohamed at the reception, and the...

The hotel located in a quite place close to the Wits University. It offers good and quality meals. Though the hotel is old but the proprietor is struggling to maintain it. The hotel still has Cathode tube televisions in their rooms. The rooms, bathroom and beddings are neat and decents. There is free WiFi Internet service but it is horrible....

This is an older hotel, but she is well kept. Gardens are beautiful and green. Rooms are nice and clean. Pillows were to soft. Staff in the dining room is extremely friendly. When I first reviewed this hotel, I expressed concern that they had accessed my credit card without permission. This unsettled me. The trend seems to have worsened. The obsession with payment really does this hotel a disservice. You are made to feel like a deviant, who is going to sneak away in the night without paying. I had to settle...
