The worst four seasons hotel I have ever had the displeasure of visiting . Awful service. Filthy room and no air conditioning. keycard for the room and the golf cart on arrival does not work . Seriously this is a two star hotel and should not be part of four seasons chain. Better off sleeping under a bridge than staying here.
Great hotel half an hour from the airport, set on a hillside so you don’t feel at all as if you are in a city. The rooms are great with the biggest bathroom I’ve ever seen. Restaurant was good too, only thing is that there is a lack of anywhere more casual to eat, it’s the restaurant or room service. We were only there for one night as a stopover so not too much of an issue.
We wanted to take a couple of days to rest and get over jet lag before going on safari, so, we opted to stay at the Four Seasons. Everything during our stay was perfect: the airport meet & greet and transfer service that they arranged; their communication via the FS app; our beautiful room with the large balcony and amazing views; our dinner at Flames; the in-room dining (on our balcony); lunches at both pools and the wonderful breakfast options. We appreciated the on site conveniences such as the golf cart transfers and the ATM and we loved that they have a adults-only pool option in addition to the family pool. This is a really lovely, quiet and peaceful hotel and I can not wait to return.
We flew into Johannesburg pre-safari and had one night to stay. I am extremely happy that we decided to book at the Four Seasons, instead of staying close to the airport for our flight the next day. We had arranged for a driver through the hotel, and were met after collecting our luggage. We were able to check in early and were given an upgraded room. Wonderful service!! The hotel grounds are absolutely beautiful, the room was gorgeous, and the staff couldn't have been nicer, from the front desk staff to the bellmen. We came down to the lobby to pick up a guided tour and the bellman (sorry I don't remember his name), remembered my name and brought us bottled water and chatted with us for a while. I only wish we could have stayed longer! Don't hesitate to book the Four Seasons - it's so worth it.…
We just spent a cpl of nights at this property prior to a safari trip. Service is friendly and professional as you would expect of a Four Seasons. We dined both nights in the hotel at 'Flames". The food is good quality and the service was nice. There is no real bar per se, which is odd but we enjoyed ourselves nevertheless. I also used the spa and the gym which was good. The massage at the spa was particularly good....one of the best I have received. The hotel itself is laid out in a sort of resort style on the side of a hill and they will take you to and from your room in a golf cart. I preferred walking though and some may find the set up odd but I liked it. Definitely better than staying in a high rise with elevators. Overall a very good and enjoyable stay.
The porters are friendly and helpful. Took the initiative and place bottled water in my vehicle for the journey to the airport. Front desk are so welcoming. Room service is on point and even brought my warm meal in those delivery bags to be kept warm. The food is oh so delicious and the breakfast buffet at the restaurant has everything on offer.
This property is in a very rarified suburb in Johannesburg and is incredible. I believe it was built as a townhome complex and at some point converted to a hotel. The property runs up a hill side and there are golf carts to take you to from your room. Rooms are very very comfortable and well appointed. Views to die for.... There are 2 restaurants both with great food and even better views of the city. Staff was very friendly and even remembered our name after the first day. Great place to stay,
A wonderful 4 night family stay. Stunning location, high on the hill with beautifully appointed rooms and the usual very comfortable Four Seasons beds. The service was friendly and excellent. Will definitely be back. Nothing was too much to ask. The hotel organised a driver to take us to a shopping mall, the transport was luxurious and very professional. Flames restaurant for breakfast and dinner is in a gorgeous setting with a fabulous ambiance.
Passing through Johannesburg, we decided to stay overnight and couldn't be more pleased. The receptionists welcomed us with a warm and joyous atmosphere. We were catered to on our every whim. All the service staff were exceptional. Dinner in the restaurant was magnificent as the food was made to perfection. The room was comfortable and the bathroom luxurious. It was a delightful short stay.
Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff is a chic 5-star luxury hotel. The hotel dwelling has a village-style layout which is sprawled across the hillside with views overlooking Johannesburg's urban green and lush vegetation. Upon enquiry, my hotel reservation was booked very swiftly by the Reservations Manager, Betty Mkhaliphi. We were then welcomed into the hotel by the friendly and ever smiling Tshepo who showed us around the property before taking us to our room on one of the hotel carts after check-in. The weekend at the Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff was nothing short of amazing because of very friendly staff members all round the property. We made dinner reservations at the Flames Restaurant which offers a fine dining experience. We kicked off the evening with sundowner cocktails on the terrace before moving inside for dinner. The food menu had a lot of choices and the wine menu offered a selection of wines from across the globe. Our waitress helped us make choices on what to eat and suggested wines to pair with our food. Kelvin at the Flames Restaurant made sure we fully enjoyed the evening since we were celebrating my birthday and he had a few surprises for me through the night.…
