It may have been cold outside due to a cold front however the Guesthouse Owner Deane Ebden and his staff had turned the guesthouse into a heaven of warmth both literally and figuratively! The guesthouse is equipped with beautiful fire places ideal for cold Johannesburg winter conditions and a beautiful terrace and pool area for warmer weather. Deane is a...

I really enjoyed my stay at MiCasa. Caroline was an excellent hostess; I liked being in walking distance of the restaurants nearby (see my review of the highly recommended Lucky Bean) and having a key to the gate and the door to come in and out late at night. The room was very large and beautifully light and airy, with...

Before staying here I read a number of not-so-great reviews, which biased me to the place. But arriving there, I had a much different experience. The villa in lovely Melville is homey and inviting. The rooms are large and comfortable; best of all, the satellite subscription has several options - unlike bigger, 5-star hotels I have been to - availing...

Spent four nights in this wonderful, homely villa located around the Wits campus area. Easy access to fine dining and bars. Price was very modest and the house attendant was very helpful. I would definitely recommend Mi Casa Su Casa to anyone who is travelling for fun, and on a budget. As it was low season, we had the entire...

We would have liked to write a proper review of this hotel, but as they cancelled our long standing booking barely two weeks before we were due to stay because "other guests wanted to extend their stay" this is not possible. This type of behaviour is unacceptable. Need I say more!

This is a careless and amateur operation. Shabby half broken bathrooms, long faces at breakfast., exploitative and shady transportation services and the distinct impression you are being taken advantage of. On our 2.5 mnth tour of South Africa, this is, by far, the worst palce we stayed in.

Our stay in Micasa Sucasa was fantastic: Carolyne has been extremely accommodating and nice, the room was perfect, the swimming pool so nice for a break, the wifi was working perfectly well. The location itself is really good, just few meters from the 7th Street for restaurants (the veggie burger at the Lucky Bean or a drink in the patio...

Stayed here for a week while attending a conference. The staff went out of their way to help my stay be enjoyable and easy. Morning breakfast is great - juices, cereal, tea, coffee and any cooked breakfast you request. The rooms are comfy (although do request one with a shower not just a bath) and there's a lovely lounge to...

I call my experience at Mi Casa Su Casa Joburg's finest because it really was just that for me. I have stay at lodges in Gauteng and their names were not worth remembering. The room was big and very neat. I love the clear white sheets on the bed because for me hygiene and especially bedding makes or breaks a...

We booked into this B&B for a night, having been unable to find accommodation in the very nice Melville Turret down the road, where we had stayed on a previous visit to Joburg. Mi Casa Su Casa was, quite simply, awful! You get the impression the owner is trying to make a fast buck out of the lucrative and thriving...

“The big bedroom in front of the swimming pool is awesome but you can hear the neighbors in the room next to it if they don't pay attention to their voice since there's only one door separating them. We had only respectful neighbors during our stay so this wasn't a problem but you never know.”
