We stayed here for 3 nights, and enjoyed our stay very much. We hired a driver from the B and B to take us around the city, and his expertise was very much appreciated. We also had the chance to dine in restaurants within walking distance, that were great! If you are in Johannesburg, and looking for a neighborhood guesthouse,...

Nice breakfast and cleaning. But we have several problems with the staff. They put us ina bedroom (number 4) that is pretty much next door to the kitchen, so the loud noisy started everyday at 7am. The manager also didn't seem to care about or respect the resting time of her guests. she put such a loud music in her...

This was our second stay at Ginnegaap Guest House; our first time was in January 2013. There's a big reason we came back - THE BREAKFASTS! There are many tasty options for the hot breakfast, plus proper Greek yoghurt and fresh fruit, cereals, milk and juice, etc. on the buffet table. But it's not just the breakfasts we came back...

The location is excellent. Close to the streets with all the restaurants & shops. Our "Apartment" was clean and adequately furnished, although the mattresses were incredibly hard. The breakfast was very nice. The let-down was the parking. One long drive-way, guests park behind each other and subsequently must remove your car when person parked in front wants to leave. On...

With the small stands in Melville, parking is a problem at most guest houses. To be able to park all cars safely at night, we are renting a piece of land from the school next to us. For this reason we cannot make any changes or enlarge the area. Fortunately, it does not happen often that we are forced to...

Stayed at the Ginnegaap Guesthouse for one night and it was a very nice experience! The friendly and smiling manager took me in without hesitation while I didn't make a reservation, had a great sleep, filling breakfast and very nice service with everything. Definitely recommendable!

I was recently in JHB for work, and brought my husband and 9 month old son. I was amazed to see this place efficient and perfect for business (hi speed wifi, early breakfast) AND incredibly family friendly (high-chair, flexible check-out, friendly staff). I can't recommend this place highly enough. The premises are clean and safe, the food healthy and delicious,...

The Ginnegap Guesthouse is only a short distance to 7th street in Melville--a lively little neighborhood with great restaurants and a nice local feel. The room was well appointed and Patrick was especially helpful and friendly. Breakfast was phenomenal.

Ginnegaap Guesthouse is very close to the mass of cafes, restaurants, bars, and shops surrounding 7th Street in Melville. My room was comfortable, the staff was very helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. I would certainly stay here again.
