I had a very cozy and comfortable at Agterplaas B&B. Ideally situated close to Johannesburg but away from the hustle and bustle. Friendly and professional service. Walking distance from day and night restaurants, cafes and watering holes.

We only stayed one night at Die Agterplaas, but it was fantastic! The staff was very, very friendly, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and looked nice. The staff was quite helpful with directions and so on, and the breakfast in the morning was delicious. They were also very accommodating of us when we needed to check out, but leave...

We stayed in Die Agterplaas and it was such a relaxed rustic place in Johannesburg. The style is lovely and the rooms are very comfortable. The manager and employees have given us many nice tips on what to do in Johannesburg. The B&B is close to the vibrant 7th street of Melville, so many places to eat out on a...

Dear Travelers. It is great to hear that you liked Agterplaas' style and found the rooms comfortable. Our location, overlooking the Melville 'Koppies' is definitely one of the things we are very proud of - at the same time within a short walking distance to Melville's restaurants and other visiting places. Johannesburg and the surrounding country side offers some very...

Brilliant location and the most friendly staff in SA! Located just in the heart of Melville this is a great hide out. The staff has made our stay memorable. The breakfast is good and try to have it served outside on the terrace!

I was here for 3 nights and enjoyed the comfort, calm and convenient location. Because I have some mobility problems, I had the "disabled" room which is well equipped. They also brought breakfast down to my room . I will definitely be back. All the staff are considerate, cheerful and very helpful. One suggestion - explain to guests the complexity...

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. I am very happy that the staff was welcoming and accommodating and that you enjoyed your stay with us. However, I am sorry to hear that you struggled with the Melville one-ways. We'll be sure to include detailed road directions in our correspondence. Thank you very much for bringing it to our attention....

Agterplaas staff are attentive and friendly. The rooms are excellent and the breakfast is superb. We always stay at Agterplaas because of its' close proximity to Media 24 and SABC where we often have appointments. We also often have breakfast meetings at the guest house with some of our business associates. This works really well!

We had chosen Melville as out location in Jo'burg, which was the right choice. The Agterplaas is well located with its own access to the buzzing 7th Street with many bars and good value and high quality restaurants. The rooms are large and serve the basic needs, had a good night sleep almost every day. The breakfast in a special...
