Our travell agents recommended Moafrika Lodge We stayed here before and after our Safari to Kruger. We had the most comfortable bed i have ever slept on. It was extremly quiet and peaceful. It definitely did not feel like we were sleeping in the CIty.One other thing is we really enjoyed the service from Cori as she and the Moafrika... More

Stayed here at the end of a camping tour through Africa. I knew this was where we were ending and so emailed the hotel 2 months in advance to make a booking. The invoice they sent had their bank details on it and so I did an international bank transfer to send them the balance. I realised this would make... More

This place is awesome. Nice cozy accommodation for our final night of our Acacia africa tour. Nice common areas to sit and chat, and close to Joburg to head out to the markets and do some shopping. Comfy beds and cozy rooms. Definitely enjoyed my stay.

The lodge had spacious clean rooms, comfy beds, great bathrooms, pool table, swimming pool, lounge with big TV, fast WiFi. There are many options including single, twin, triple and dorm rooms too. Reasonable price for a great place to stay!

I stayed here in August and September. Both times I was promptly picked up /or taken to the airport and the drivers were very friendly. I stayed in the dorm room that was mixed so we had guys and gals. The bathroom had a large tub, shower, sink and toilet. All very clean, plenty of towels and lots of electrical... More

Spent the first night here during our South Africa trip. Didn't start very well, as we arrived at Johannesburg Airport and the transfer to the hotel was not waiting where it was supposed to be waiting. Had to call the lodge (the number provided to us did not work, so had to go online to find another number, resulting in... More

We arrived after 9pm in the evening when usually most kitchens are closed. We asked if food was available and to our surprise a menu was given to us and delicious food was served shortly after. All the staff were super friendly, the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable and we had an awesome nights rest. This place is outside... More

I was ill for most of my stay and Nomsa, Lavender, Rosina (who cooked me soup and cooed over me like a mom) were SO awesome and wonderful, as were others whose names I never knew. Norman gave a great tour and was very personable as well as informative, and Innocent a fabulous driver (especially as my flight was 2... More

I don't think there is a word to describe how wonderful MoAfrika staff is. Ouma Corrie and Dion are wonderful. Whenever my students or I have a question or need help they have smiles and help us out more then necessary. They are like family. My organization has been staying at MoAfrika for the last several years, and this year... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to MoAfrika Lodge. MoAfrika literally means 'African People' in the language of the local Sotho populace, the original inhabitants of the Highveld. Your host, Anthony, has skillfully created a unique lodge in which an African theme induces a warm welcome for guests. Set on a 8000 square metre land through which a stream flows, MoAfrika Lodge provides a rustic and tranquil setting where guests can unwind in a relaxed and country atmosphere. Why book yourself into a Hotel or Guest Houses when you can stay here at MoAfrika Lodge? MoAfrika Lodge has evolved from Anthony's place which has been operating since 2006. MoAfrika Lodge offers comfortable and stylish accommodation. Our rooms are spacious and are tastefully decorated in a truly African style. A large dining room and lounge flow unobtrusively into the cosy bar area. Guests may unwind around our sparkling swimming pool and enclosed wooden deck. MoAfrika Lodge is very conveniently situated less than 10km from Johannesburg Airport, O.R Tambo. ... more   less
