Olive Hill is a well kept and clean guest lodge. Linda the owner does all that she can to make your stay comfortable. The place is situated in a quiet area and is in itself a nice setting. I will not hesitate to go back there. Although it is situated a little way from the city center it is a...

Driving here the GPS did take us for a long detour, and yes you drive past some dodgy places which are rather close to the Lodge. We were very sceptic. But upon arriving at our room we were pleasantly surprised. Super clean, beautiful bath and shower for the tired bodies. Coffee, tea, bread for toast, cereals, milk already in kitchen....

Olive Hill is so perfect for us, two adults, two kids, on a smallholding out of the hustle and bustle of Bloem, we come to Bloem annually for dog shows, three days. They are SO accommodating, the rooms are a blessing, hidden secret, all my friends stay in such substd places to accommodate dogs. Olive Hill is substd NOTHING. Its...

No thanks, 2 stars at best. The pictures are completely misleading. If you look in the opposite direction from where the cover photo was taken, you look directly onto the neighbour's yard - the one with the old caravan and broken trailer at the entrance. A few things the other reviewers failed to mention. Olive Hill sits in the outskirts...

As a family this was a perfect spot on our way back to Johannesburg; very clean rooms, modern and we'll furnished; great garden view and a great friendly welsh corgi dog hovering the facility; the kids loved it; Important note: the location of the hotel is very close to the N1; though the GPS may take you through the city...

Enjoyed a very comfortable stop-over. A little remote, but very accessible to major routes and town. 'Olive Hill' is the name of the area, so follow your emailed directions carefully or you can end up at interesting homes (as we did!). The self-catering provisions served our needs, and everything is beautifully arranged. Rooms are grouped together and guests share a...

Olive Hill Guest lodge is a place, where after a tough day participating in the first World Hunting Rifle Field shooting championships, we really could take a long and sparkling clean bath and lay down our weary bones in clean, comfortable crisp linnen. Fully airconditioned self catering family rooms where any traveler could stay over in Bloemfontein. This establishment is...

A wonderfully quiet and peaceful place for a stopover. Hospitable and friendly and providing a little kitchenette in each room so you can prepare your own continental breakfast (everything provided). Or you request a full English breakfast if you prefer. It is a little off the beaten track, but that means it is quiet and not too far back onto...

We stayed here on two occasions - en route to George and back home again. We loved this guesthouse. Linda is professional, friendly and a wonderful host. The room was clean and neat. I personally loved the white linen. It is a bit out of Bloemfontein CBD but very quick access to and from the N1. Will definitely recommend this...

This guesthouse is located in the bush even though you are less than ten minutes from a major shopping centre. It is quiet and truly beautiful. The rooms are done very tastefully- none of the platteland kitsch that often adorns these places. Little extras are thrown in which makes this place a steal. Should be on everyone's first option list...

The classic sandstone Olive Hill Country Lodge brings luxury accommodation to the Bloemfontein area. Recently awarded four roses by the Bloemfontein Accommodation Association, this Bloemfontein guesthouse, in picturesque Free State countryside, is just 3 km north of Bloemfontein. Found close to the Bram Fischer International Airport, Olive Hill Country Lodge is also easily accessible from the N1.
