We stayed at Whale Rock in July 2016 and we were very impressed with every aspect. It is in a quiet and safe neighborhood with secure parking and all round good security. Our room was clean and spacious with an amazing view of the ocean. The bathroom was tastefully decorated, it came with 2 basins, 2 showers, a bath and... More

This guest house was everything thing we imagined it would be and more! Beautiful home, luxurious room with all the nice touches, clean, pool, secure, has a generator. Delicious breakfast, friendly and gracious hosts. Very central and nearby to town and beach. Would absolutely visit again when in Plett.

We stayed over for one night. On our arrival the lady did not know in which room we are staying. The bedding and towels are not at the advertised standard and the breakfast was very limited and poorly prepared. The room we stayed in was comfortable and large.

I can't recommend Whale Rock Guest House enough. The furnishings in the bedroom and lounge/breakfast area were lovely and made for a very comfortable stay. The finishing touches and presentation made for a 5 star stay, even though we were only there for one light. Leanne and Wayne were so hospitable I felt like we had made new friends. It... More

Set high up in a modern quiet part of the suburbs you are perfectly positioned close to beaches, town centre and access roads out to all the amazing activities on offer in the area. Wayne and Lelanie will take good care of you from the moment you... More

We stayed two nights at this lovely guest house. As it is a bit out of the main area of town, it was quiet and peaceful. A car is needed to access the central area of town. Our second floor bedroom was well appointed, comfortable, clean, and had a wonderful large balcony. It was bright and sunny. The common area... More

The place was lovely... We stayed in the four poster bed room, which has quite a huge and high bed, which requires a bit of a climb. We enjoyed our stay, just a pity that we had no hot water on our last morning there.

We stayed here for two nights. One night we stayed in the honeymoon suite and the other night we stayed in the bottom room. The honeymoon suite is beautiful and spacious and has a lovely balcony and freestanding bath. Also twin showers! Very tastefully decorated. We were quite disappointed with the bottom room we moved to as it was quite... More

IMAGINE - From : "Portrait of Plettenberg Bay" by Patricia Storrar. Imagine......... Being part of the sea, sweeping white beaches. Calm lagoons and gentle green hills, all set against the backdrop of the Tsitsikama mountains. Dramatic and unique, something which makes a swift and lasting impact on the senses. Those who have grown to savor the Bay in all its moods, from mornings that dawn clear as a sparkling mirror to nights raging with the fury of a westerly gale. Never tire of it. The ever changing light presents several times a day vistas of such exquisite loveliness that each sense might be newly created. But there is so much more to Plettenberg Bay than the mere Arcadian beauty. The entire Bitou area is rich in history that everywhere one goes - on the dunes or in the kloofs, on the coastal hills or deep in the forests, beside lipid pools or in the caves. Ancient beyond comprehension - one is walking on paths worn smoothly. ... more   less
