It is a very nice place to stay in with the friendly staff members. Close to everything. It will definitely be my next accommodation when I visit Plettenberg Bay. We felt like we were at our house. Thanks

For the same price as a backpacker, you get an apartment experience - with living room, kitchen, terrace, and dorm bed. Do it yourself breakfast (incl. eggs, toast, fruit). Very close to city center and restaurants; 15 min stroll to any beach. Great rooftop bar, with amazing view. Warm welcome. It was tough to leave!

Amakaya backpackers is clean and spacious. The showers were hot, the beds were not uncomfortable, and it is walking distance from the centre of town. We checked out very early in the morning and forfeited our key deposit because no one was on duty yet - so keep that in mind when planning your departure.

It's a cute place at a good location in the town. Most staff members were very friendly and helpful. Well stocked bar. The dorm was a bit cramped but clean. Breakfast is nothing special but it'll fill you up.

parking and getting out early an issue, maybe give a sticker to put on the car directing it to the owner's dorm would make things easier. The staff were very helpful and polite giving you want to stay there. thanks fuad jacobs

The staff at Amakaya was very helpful and friendly and the room was clean. We had free breakfast which was a bonus. Good quality for the price. The backpacker is also ideally situated, not far from shops and restaurant.

We were 3 families (11 people incl. toddlers) travelling north and did a 2 night stopover at Amakaya. We were booked into 2 dorms, one of which was an 8 sleeper with a kitchenette and small sitting room. There were ample off street parking for 3 vehicles with off-road trailers. The kitchenette was basic, but we were able to make...

The stay was comfortable, staff friendly and well organised. Could improve on the room decor though, perhaps with a more homely and inviting feel instead of a university dorm feel. Car parking could also improve as it was a challenge when we arrived

Hello Thanks for the comments. When busy as December was the parking can become a bit challenging as not all guests consider others when they park. What was wrong with the decor? You stayed in our Homtini double room from our records. The rooms were changed approximately 8 months ago, TV's put into the rooms etc. Regards Dave Swart

Perfectly situated in Plett central. Comfortably beds with clean linen and sufficient facilities. We stayed in the 8 sleeper dorm which was nicely equipped with all basics. Complimentary breakfast is a refreshing bonus. Would definitely recommend

The apartment is spacious and is safe but ultimately its very basic. There are no fans and the stove isn't too easy to use. Its really well located for night life and restaurants but less so for the beach. It was expensive for what it was but that is Plett in December.

Hello Nicole Thanks for your comments. You and 2 companions stayed in our Apartment 5 at a rate of R900.00 per night = R300.00 per person. In peak season, for an apartment (flat) with own entrance, DSTV, free wi-fi and complimentary mini-breakfast, tea/coffee, 100m from Main Street you cannot seriously consider this expensive? We are 800m from Central beach. This...
