it is a stones throw from the town views to die for very clean and well looked after would be great for a family to stay in if you where self catering will be even better when they can offer breakfast was a bit over priced compare to other places we stayed in secure parking

We stayed in Room 5. It was dirty. Old grime. No hot water. It smelled of stale sweat. It is definitely not worth R900 + This is more like R400/R500 accommodation. The lady that received us was extremely friendly and helpful though.

This was the perfect place for a stop over on route to the Cape from KZN. We felt rested in the morning as the facilities are great and the location is close to the main routes. Staff and owners are quick to respond to your requirements and offer advise.

Very comfortable and clean bedroom, bathroom , Lounge, and kitchen. Everything worked and the rooms were serviced each day which was a real plus. We were warmly welcomed on our arrival and departure. Wendy and I had a great stay thank you.

A quaint beautiful establishment, exceptional hospitality on arrival making one feel at home right away, after which one is left to relax and enjoy the view and comfort of the premises.I will definitely make this a preferred port of call for future visits to Grahamstown and recommend the establishment.

Thank you kindly for the positive comments about A Stone's Throw - every little one goes such a long way especially after the year of turmoil after the fire - so appreciated and we look forward to welcoming you again soon. Best regards Suzanne More

We had an excellent stay at Stone's Throw. The cabin was beautiful with every effort made to make our stay enjoyable. The view is amazing, the cabin was compact but very well equipped, clean and wonderfully comfortable. Ndumi who met us there and let us in was so very welcoming and friendly.

Warm and friendly reception. However I was given expired yoghurt twice and the water in the shower went hot and cold in a space of 2 minutes. Otherwise very comfortable and serene stay. Quite and conducive for productivity and relaxation.

Thandeka, Thank you kindly for your review and feed-back we appreciate all aspects both positive and negative and I am mortified about the yoghurt as the little snacks were meant to be a complimentary for your convenience as I knew you were at conference all day, my sincere apologies for the oversight. We value your input and hate to see... More

The accommodation was comfortable and spacious with beautiful surroundings. The room was clean and neat and the bed comfortable. There were also heaters keeping the room warm. The bathroom and kitchen facilities were also adequate.

Thank you for your lovely clean comfortable accommodation. The property is conveniently situated in a central position close to all the amenities. My room had everything one needs for a stay away from home. Staff were extremely helpful and assisted me with any queries. I would highly recommend your establishment to anyone visiting the quaint city of Grahamstown.

The room had no electric blanket and a flimsy, inadequate panel heater. Threadbare towels and half mast throws on the bed, all made for an uncomfortably cold winter's night. The tiny TV is mounted high up on a wall so far away I could not watch Wimbledon as one could not see the ball!
