We stayed here one night only, unfortunately, en route from Umtata to garden/wine route. Very comfortable, well appointed and scrupulously clean. Kerry, our host in Sally's absence, was welcoming and chatty. Breakfast was lovely with good range of hot and cold dishes served in beautiful dining room adorned with interesting art work and furniture. Highly recommend this establishment if you're... More

We loved this Guest House. It has everything a traveler requires available. Rooms were well appointed and the heated towel rails were a definite plus. Tea and coffee facility was great and we loved the fact that we were given a jug of fresh milk rather than the usual long life tiny options available in most bed and breakfasts. We... More

We had a magnificent stay at this guest house. Oscar and the team could not do enough for us, even giving us a quick tour round this historic town AND taking us to, and collecting us from a restaurant in town. The room was beautiful, clean, wanted for nothing and was quiet. The breakfasts were delicious. The dogs were also... More

Modern and luxurious despite the age of the house. The room faced the grand front garden and was nice and private. There's a nice pool. The room was very well appointed and had everything you could hope for, except a safe for valuables (which may have been somewhere I didn't see), but I didn't feel I had to lock anything... More

This was our first visit to Grahamstown, which in itself was very disappointing. However the guesthouse was outstanding. It resembled the old grandeur of this once lovely town. Grahamstown, set up by the 1820 settlers has beautiful architecture from that European era. This guesthouse is of the same era. It also has an immaculate garden, beautifully furnished room with all... More

Attention to detail - that's what separates this establishment from the rest. Coming "home" every evening to a pre-loaded fire place. Beautiful friendly staff ensuring your room is as it was when you first arrived - every day. Unobtrusive, not invasive yet always at your service. Thank you Sally.

I reviewed this place in February and as I have subsequently gone back and stayed in a different room I thought that I would once again offer my thoughts. This really is one of the best B&B establishments in Grahamstown. This time around instead of staying in one of their rooms I was put in the self-contained cottage which was... More

We stayed on our way through from wild coast to Plett, and were very impressed. Beautiful old Victorian, rooms very nicely appointed, with lovely touches such as real milk in the fridge, rusks, fruit, coffee plungers... lovely underfloor heating to take chill off cold evenings, good wifi, DSTV, off street parking and more. Very good attention to detail.

We stayed there sight unseen on the recommendation of a Grahamstown resident for the 40th high school reunion of several members of our group. I believe there are 3 rooms in the reconditioned stables, each decorated in a unique and welcoming way...then there is the cottage, where my partner and I stayed. To call this a cottage is to engage... More

A magnificent B&B! The room was fantastic. Comfortable bed, hot shower with great pressure, beautifully decorated and even underfloor heating. Well stocked with complimentary tea, coffee (filter and instant) cereals, fruit and milk. Add to that a friendly welcome from the owner. What more can you want? It was a real pleasure to stay here.
