If you want to get away and not go the cliche of Marriott's and Weston's this is a must place. Yes it is rustic but that is part of the charm. From the owner John Rich Jr down through his family and the entire staff, I have never met more genuine nice and helpful individuals full of information and very... More

There's rustic awesome and rustic horrible. This was about as rustic horrible as it gets. I'm a road tripper - I don't need fancy, I don't need cell phone reception, I don't need wifi. I do need a room that I can sleep in. If it had said ANYWHERE on their website that the cabin I was booking was a... More

If you plan to visit the north rim of the Grand Canyon, this Inn is about as close as it gets outside the park. Rooms vary. We stayed in a very motel like building with rooms to match. Simple and clean. They also have a general store replete with souvenirs and some food and drinks, Staying here allows for an... More

This is a good option in you aren't able to stay in the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. By the time we planned our trip, the camping and lodging sites in the Park were booked, so the cabins at Jacob Lake were our closest option, despite being 45 min drive from the Park entrance. But the cabins were cute... More

Thank you so much for your review. We are happy you stayed with us and that your children had an old fashioned experience staying in a cabin in the woods. More

Booked this hotel on line. Pleasantly surprised when checked in. Nice rooms. Small restaurant with varied choices and very yummy food. My husband enjoyed the fresh baked goodies with a large selection. A large gift shop with Indian items to choose. The evening we were there, the grandson of Jacob is the buyer for the Indian gift store and knows... More

What a a great review! Thank you for your comments on the room, food, bakery, and gift shop. I am also pleased that you were able to listen to my brother, John Rich, give his presentation on Navajo culture and weaving. John is acknowledged as an expert on these things, and you will never meet anyone who is more passionate... More

Drove from south rim to Jacob Lake near north rim of Grand Canyon to find only this "Inn" and a gas station. $117.59 cabin had no: AirCon, TV, Fridge, Coffee machine, Bathroom extractor fan, chairs on deck. The Inn had no bar nor WiFi nor Payphone. Extremely poor value for money, it would have been better to press on to... More

Although there isn't a lot of choice of places to stay to visit the North Rim, the family run Jacob Lake Inn was an excellent place to stay. On entering the Inn,we found it to be a friendly inviting place who's decor was very appealing. There was a decent gift shop and a food shop where you could get delicious... More

Thank you for your review. How nice to hear that your enjoyed your room, the food, the gift shop, and bakery. I am the person who made your toll house pie and I am so happy you enjoyed it. This inn has a motel and a few cabins. We decided to stay in a cabin in order to enjoy the outdoors at night. Well, there is nothing to enjoy. There is no place to comfortably sit outside, as the cabins are really close to one another. They are small and the bathrooms are equipped with the bare minimum, which... More

I think the key to understanding your disappointing experience is that you were here in early May. Our employees start coming in the middle of April to the middle of May. During May we are switching from our winter menu and routine. Our staff are young and new to their jobs. I heartily apologize for the mistakes made and hope... More

Stayed in the new part of motel ground floor has a patio...comfortable bed...clean room...small bathroom...just gives you that rustic feeling of how it used to be without the crowds in the North Rim...lots of history! Restaurant was very good for dinner and breakfast....will say overpriced artist work on display...cookies were ok not as great as I thought they would be....they... More

Thank you for your review and we are glad you found the room and your meals enjoyable. I am sorry you feel that the Native American artwork is over priced. I think if you will compare our prices with any other shop in the area you will find our prices are very fair. What a surprise to hear that you... More

We stayed in one of the full size (double size) bed cabins. This was actually half of the cabin. This is not a fancy modern cabin, but it was a good size, the bed was comfortable, the shower had sufficient water pressure and even though we were there during the middle of a heat wave in July, there was no...
