Unless you have a reason to be in Duncan, AZ, it would not cross your mind to travel so far off the beaten path just to stay in an old hotel out in the middle of nowhere. But that is exactly what my husband and I did. This was a destination trip for us, a chance to stay in an...

We spent one night here. We had a 2 twin bed room with a bath down the hall. This is a cool place that looks much as it did in the very early 1900's. Our room was a little hot but we managed. There are roosters nearby that start early so light sleepers bring your ear plugs. We did not...

The owners are very welcoming and very friendly. And I mean "VERY". They are great people with helpful recommendations for seeing, doing, eating in the town and surrounding area. Breakfast was tasty and freshly made selections, the hotel has and is being restored nicely with nice touches of period furniture, decor and features plus lots of original art. Rooms sizes...

This is a very old hotel that has been lovingly refurbished into a B&B. We had the Old Library Room, which had a kitchenette. The grounds are also very interesting, take some time to explore them. They have resident (outdoor) cats in their own "hotel" as well as a resident goat. They are also dog friendly.

My wife and I spent one night here and can't say enough wonderful things about it. The building is recently restored and beautifully decorated in the old style. Our hosts Deborah and Clayton were fantastic. Super fun people with interesting histories. The town of Duncan is a little rundown and a little shabby but the warmth and quiet nature was...

This is a wonderful historic hotel that is operated by your wonderful hosts, Deborah and Clayton. The hotel has so many old decorations and artifacts, I could have spent a day looking at them all. I had the Old Library room which has its own bath. The room was quiet and comfy. My breakfast was made to order and was...

The Simpson Hotel is a gem that hides behind a humble Old-West store front facade. The original bones and grand furnishings are well restored, with tastefully integrated upgrades to modernize just enough to make it safe and manageable. We chose the front bedroom with 2 twin beds for daughter and self. Beds were comfy and all was beautiful upstairs. The...

I stayed at the Hotel 2 nights with 2 friends in February. It was as others have described, everything was especially comfortable, good food and enjoyable hosts even the goat was social. We loved the décor--so unique and historic. The bonus was getting to know Duncan and the people. Several became instant friends, we were invited to a local home...

We were in Duncan for one night passing through on way to Phoenix. Deborah and Clayton were wonderful hosts! Very cozy B&B/Hotel with many paintings, artifacts, collectibles and antiques from the west. Great library in parlor with a cozy fireplace. Super quiet and the bed room was terrific. Bedroom is large and spacious with frame antique bed, tables and too...

Duncan, Arizona is not going to be at the top of the list of destinations for most people. There's not much to do, no great restaurants and nothing in the way of shopping. But if you want a place to relax, read, do some walking and see a place that is outside the mainstream you will enjoy Duncan. We (my...
