What a great way to embrace the Old West, just an amazing setting. They have both a ranch style room and campground. You will not be disappointed. Rooms are comfy and make you feel you in an old west movie.
The rocks are super. Movie set info interesting. Go on Saturday if not a guest overnight so you can visit the saloon, a highlight. Allow time to study the mural in the saloon, hike to movie site and visit the Amerind Museum just down the road.
Wind through the entrance drive and read all the start who have been (many during movie shoots, I believe). Includes the 'Highway Men!' Quant compound of duplex arranged buildings spread throughout. Names of famous guests also on the rooms (where they stayed?). Saloon was classic looking and made for a great on-site holiday where we didn't have to leave for anything.
Just stayed for one night heading back to Tucson at tail end of vacation. Nice stay with comfy room and wonderful claw foot tub in bathroom. I stayed in Casita 1. Later in the evening heard banging and knocking from unoccupied Casita 2 next door. I asked, presumably the spirit called Grandmother, to stop it and it did actually stop!! Great breakfast and Linda and Don were there, great amiable hosts. Wish U could have stayed longer.
Did You Know, this ranch is authentic, old, and rustic. Not rundown! Did You Know, if you are looking for free wifi and outlets every two feet for your devices this place isn't for you, Did You Know, If you need to be waited on hand and foot and whine about being able to see light through cracks in your front door that is original to your Casita, you are going to have a bad time. Did You Know that air conditioners and heaters do not operate at optimum performance everytime you turn them on? Did You Know if you go to the Triangle T and take a two hour trail ride among the beautiful scenery with an awesome guide like Buddy none of the previous DYK's will matter anymore? Honestly this is some of the most amazing landscape, and add in the amazing sunsets, I can't say it gets any better anywhere. The Triangle T offers an awesome experience. Linda and Don do their best to offer you a comfortable stay, the rooms are well decorated, not kitschy. Amenities like a small kitchen and refrigerator are nice to have but should not be a requirement in a place like this. The Breakfasts are filling and very delicious. Which brings me to another DYK. Did You Know the breakfasts come with your stay? They are also better than any continental breakfast or pre-prepared branded hotel breakfast I have had. For dinner I recommend The 1 pounder steak a little pricey but what the hay, you are on vacation at a Guest Ranch, Live a little! All in All if you want a great place to visit, have a nice conversation with friends, (minus the devices). Light a fire in your provided fire pit with provided firewood, sit back and watch the stars and enjoy your family and friends, the little inconveniences that people want to complain about seem so trivial at that point. To Linda and Don, it was a pleasure to meet both of you and your staff is amazing and attentive to every need! Thank you for an awesome weekend and I look forward to returning for Thanksgiving! 11 Stars out of 10!! YOU NOW KNOW my group thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!…
