We stopped to see this as my wife and brother in law were raised in Douglas. Traveling with friends we had been told by Chaz that it has an interesting bar. So we knocked but it was closed and they heard us and opened the door. This is not a place really ready yet buy if you take the time...

We travel and frequently stay in older properties because we find older hotels to be charming. This property felt less charming and more tired. I booked several months in advanced and confirmed the day before, I knew that there would not be a meal when we booked, that was ok, we wanted to explore Douglas. The day before, I realized...

My husband and I stayed here for one of our best nights in Douglas. We had our big dog with us and she was made to feel right at home as well. The owner's daughter took her in like one of her own and made it so easy to travel with her. We got a fabulous tour upon arrival and...

The Avenue Hotel and B&B is a lost treasure that needs to be found and enjoyed. On 23 May 14 my wife and I were taken back in time in Douglas, AZ. What a wonderful B&B this place is in Southern Arizona. The hospitality is superb, and our greeting was nothing less than royal. We were given very nice hugs...

The Avenue Hotel B&B in Douglas, AZ took us back to early last century, but with new, clean, and comfortable beds. The' new' bathroom fixtures kept the flavor of the 'old' feeling. Our room tastefully maintained the 'old' decor... upgraded and freshly painted. Robin, owner, met us at the front door with a big hug late our first night. She...

Great place, owner on site and on-task, a place with stories, charm and southwestern hospitality. The desserts are great and usually something unique and rich. They serve a fantastic locally roasted coffee and the rooms are intimate, turn of the century and up to date with wifi, flat screen and fantastic new beds and bedding.

Located just south of Bisbee, Tombstone, and a stones throw away from the John Slaughter ranch in Douglas Az sits my new favorite getaway. The Avenue has all the modern amenities I need, wi-fi, hdtv, etc and still maintains the feel and charm of a 1910 railroad hotel. The saloon / dining salon has been remarkably well preserved and even...
