It’s a nice place but of course if your a thousand trails member you get the worst sites. We stayed in H area with older sites. Sites were ok. The water pressure was the lowest we have ever had. Took hours to fill our tank and not exaggerating. Everyone was friendly and amenities and buildings were clean and well cared for.
I love the open lots and the lodge was perfect to receive my internet. It was nice to have hiking trails and the dog park was awesome. I like the BIG dog park for my dog to run in. I also liked the internet cafe. I wished they had the coffee maker working.
So - so. Would not book again. Website did not indicate that the pool and hot tub were not available. 2 beds were unmade. Only 1 old blanket and a thin bedspread for 3 beds. Sheets in a drawer to use were old and thin. Couch bed mattress was old and thin and very uncomfortable. Side of drop table was broken and would not work. Needed to jiggle the toliet handle to keep it from running constantly. Cabin needs upgraded and some TLC.
The staff was the best they are very friendly and helpful. The campground is clean and the 50 amp sites are nice and large. All of the game rooms and lounges were very well kept, the pool tables were like new and that is something you do not see verry often. You can see that they take pride in there campground.
What a unique property and rental cabin with view of Verde river canyon. Hiking trails within this park are very extensive and well kept plus they're adding phases to their trail system as well. Though pool won't be open after remodel.is completed end of March sometime, there was plenty of other things to do in the park and the area. Top notch and new mattresses were very comfortable too.
We enjoyed our visit! Nice place not sure our getaway cabin would really fit 6 people comfortably. Bring your own saran wrap and foil. we were able to cook some of our meals there, nice grill and utensils. There is a coffee pot if you're staying for longer than 3 days bring your own filters and coffee!
The RV sites are very spacious and some have great views. They also have some nice cabins . We had some friends visit us that were not RV owners and they enjoyed their cabin. There are some very nice hiking trails on the property that we enjoyed very much. The pool area was not open when we visited in February.
We stayed in spot J6, up on the Mesa. It was a little piece of heaven! We did not use the amenities this time as it was bitter cold and we were cozy in our spot, but we have previously and really enjoyed it! There was a lot of wine tasting and things to do in nearby areas that we took advantage of.
This is my happy place. I'm always greeted by friendly people that go out of their way to make us feel welcome. I love Billy and Cecil and Amanda is always ready to help us with reservations. It's just a wonderful place to enjoy nature.
A very pretty resort that is nicely maintained and the staff is pleasant and very helpful. It's been a pleasure when we have stayed there both in their cabins and the RV spots. The location is centrally located for many local activities and beautifully presented.
