The entire experience was wonderfully de-stressing after our weekend wedding. The atmosphere of the building that housed the junior suites was one of a spa experience. The scent and music were so, so wonderful. Our room was lovely and the attention to detail (including a white noise machine for a good night’s sleep) was superb. Cottonwood is a town of friendly people, great restaurants, outdoor activities and relaxation. We highly recommend a visit to the Tavern Hotel.
Well managed hotel that is always a welcome sight for me after a long drive from Nevada. Would be the hotel of my choice every time, but they're often fully booked when I make impromptu trips. They also have cottage style rooms, which are basically small homes, if you want more privacy.
We decided to stay here on our 2 night stay in the Sedona area because it looked beautiful, had good reviews, and had a great price compared to the basic hotels in Sedona. The desk clerks were friendly and informative from the time we checked in til we checked out. The room looked clean and brand new. It had a really cute vibe. Our room had yellow Adirondack chairs on the balcony. Beds and pillows were comfy. Shower was modern, tiled, and huge! We got ice from the ice machine for our Camelbacks every morning before our hikes. We were given welcome cocktail cards from Village Tavern across the parking lot. Drinks were good but can’t recommend the food there at all. We were also given vouchers for free continental breakfast at Crema across the street each morning of our stay. We tried coffee and some tasty muffins and cinnamon rolls. This hotel is right off Main St Old Town Cottonwood which is really quaint and full of tasting rooms, ice cream shops, and restaurants. At night, we enjoyed the firepit on the patio area. I’d highly recommend this hotel!…
Stayed in the Bocce Penthouse. Beautiful and very nice. Our own private patio overlooking town & trees. Right within walking distance of every thing. When you book through the Hotel you get two free cocktails @ the Tavern Bar and Grill which also provides delicious food 😋. This hotel is our favorite place to stay in Cottonwood. We also got early check-in which was an added bonus.
This is my 4th time at this property (first time by myself as I was meeting family that is in town visiting the GC). Cottonwood is an hour and a half drive from Scottsdale so makes a good quick getaway. This time I was on the ground floor ( I have stayed on the ground floor once before and don't remember this being a problem, so maybe the room above was empty or the guest was more considerate) The guests above me on this visit did a lot of walking around in their little room and they were loud walkers. I did complain to the desk and they did say something to the guest but it didn't make any difference. Needless to say my dream of getting to sleep in a little in the morning didn't happen as they were very early risers. Not a big deal, but the vending machine was out of order and when I got checked in I was really hungery and was looking for a little snack as it was too late for lunch (4:00) and I had planned to go to Colt's for dinner so didn't really want to do a full happy hour food. So, I would suggest having a little snack with you if you think you might want something for the room. The staff couldn't be nicer and they are accomodating.…
We loved our stay at the Tavern Hotel. The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay a great one. It is extremely clean, beautiful, and a fun place to spend several days. We also enjoyed the beautiful pool. You receive a breakfast voucher for restaurant across the street for a continental breakfast or $5 off full breakfast. Food was excellent fresh and well worth it. You get drink cards for the Tavern restaurant upon arrival. Food there was so good too. I would highly recommend staying here right in the middle of the historic Old Town. It is in walking distance of great food, Jail Trail walking trail, and shops. It is close to make several sites in a day. Jerome, Sedona, National Forest, and Prescott, A great location and a beautiful place with helpful staff.
This hotel is the most well designed, styled and decorated hotel I’ve ever seen. The furnishings in the room were top notch and felt fancy. The shower is huge and amazing! Great location in downtown Cottonwood. We did the sip and stay package which was a great deal. The breakfast restaurant Crema is soooo good. And all of the surrounding restaurants and tasting rooms were great. If you’re wanting to do a Sedona trip, but want a little more relaxed environment that is an easy drive over to Sedona, this is your spot. In fact, just go this hotel no matter what because it is so nice.
Great old town location within easy walking distance of wine tasting, restaurants, bars, shopping. Quality of staff is excellent. Rooms are very nice and parking is great. The Sip and Stay package is well worth it. Two issues to be aware of: 1. We had a room that was in the front of the hotel. It faced the alley way and the back of the Tavern Grill and the dumpster. Not great, with the added ‘benefit’ of a 6am trash collection wake up. Suggest you request a room with a better view and a bit less noisy - they have lots of options (if not sold out). 2. The internet and cell phone coverage is lousy in Cottonwood. So be prepared.
Had the pleasure of staying at this hotel to celebrate a friend's wedding anniversary. Every single detail at this boutique hotel is top notch. Their staff is dedicated to making every aspect of your stay perfect. The grounds are impeccably decorated and maintained and the rooms are very well appointed. They've thought of every detail from corkscrews and wine glasses to sound machines on the nightstands. The firepit and beautiful yellow Adirondack chairs out front were a great way to end each night talking with other guests. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!
This place is gorgeous! My room was spacious and so comfortable. A very relaxing atmosphere with outdoor sitting areas to enjoy a glass of wine from the numerous wineries in the area. Located in old town, you are within walking distance from several restaurants and shops. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I had a nice chat with the hotel desk expert. I definitely recommend staying here and when I'm in the area, I will definitely be back. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.
