We have been to Highlands Resort three times, and every visit has been outstanding. We have had out children come over from their home in Chino Valley, and we had a big bar - BQ thanks to the great bar b-q cookers at the resort. The swimming pools are wonderful and I can guaranty that if you trade out your RCI to come to this Resort, you won't be disapointed.

We stayed at the Highlands Resort at Verde Ridge for six nights in mid-August during a heat wave. Although we normally like to hike on our vacations, it was just too hot, so we found many places to go that were all open. These great sight-seeing venures includedings to see, such as Montezuma Castle, Tuzigoot, Jerome, Verde Canyon Railroad, Page Springs Cellars and Arcosanti. Sedona was right up the road, but we simply drove through since we have stayed there several times before. Other than the pool, not much was open at the resort, but there is a golf course next door and I'm sure there would be more activities without the Covid-19 Pandemic omnipresent. We did take advantage of checking out free DVD's from their huge collection. We definitely plan to come back since the places we visited can be seen repeatedly and we'd like to do some hiking next time.

Due to COVID we inquired about COVID protocols and were advised extensive cleaning precautions are taken using hydrogen peroxide. Upon opening the door to the unit, dead bugs were on the floor inside and were present also in the bathroom and near the balcony. We observed 2 live lizards on the carpet and perhaps this was due to the large gap by the front door. The kitchen drains and toilet were dirty and smelled. The worst was the used towel left behind by the previous guests. The office response was unbelievable. She said “Oh sorry” and “the towel was unacceptable.” She also said dead bugs and lizards are unavoidable in the desert. Living in the desert doesn’t make it acceptable for a rental unit to have dead bugs and lizards.

Thank you for expressing your concerns 4ace2020. Our manager did speak to you during your stay regarding these concerns and has made multiple attempts to reach you to discuss things further. Unfortunately, the bugs in the unit are unavoidable especially in rural areas and during the monsoon season. We would greatly appreciate a return call.

Had a great time in Sedona and Slidding Rock with the Family. This resort is in a nice area from which you can explore the Sedona area and it does not have to break your wallet. There is a Fry's just down the road and Sedona is about 20 Minutes away. We would definetly go back.

First time at this resort and I was very pleased with everything. It was a family trip so I had 2 two-bedroom and 1 studio unit. The units were very spacious and comfortable. The check-in experience was easy, quick and was pleased with the guidelines taken amongst COVID-19. The pool was opened from 10 am-7 pm with a max of 10 people at a time. It was a short distance from Sedona, Jerome, and other points of interest in the area. Overall a great location to relax or be near different adventures.
