Enjoy affordable luxury in the heart of beautiful Cave Creek, Arizona where a true western experience still exists. Our four spacious private suites are terraced into the north side of Saguaro Hill with spectacular panoramic mountain views! Our close proximity into the main street area is a short walking distance which is a historic southwest attraction. Find a good selection of restaurants, bars, shops and galleries of old Cave Creek (and up into Carefree). Guests have a wide range of choice from a quiet secluded retreat to escape from the hustle of life -- to kicking it up in a refined downtown merchant area -- which retains much of its original southwest influenced architectural charm.

Detailed Reviews
The room was spacious, with a fire place, comfortable bed and a large bathroom that had a shower and spa tub. Along the north facing wall were two windows the looked over a dry river bed and out to mountains. We never closed the curtains to keep the view in sight. Even at night. The interior of the room looked like it was inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright (perhaps is the other way around). It included a fireplace, a dining table and in place seating around the fireplace.
The owner, Caroline, has just the right amount of friendly engagement and respect for privacy so that one feels welcome but owns the privacy of space.]
Restaurants and shopping are close by as are trails to hike/walk with huge Saguaro Cactus along the trails.
Just a wonderful experience.

Totally amazed at how huge and private my room was.
I didn't expect the tub-spa or the kitchen area!
And then there was beakfast. omg...
Perfect eggs, and meats and muffins and scones!!!!!
and cream. Real cream, and real COFFEE!!!!! and lemonade. And good music playing.
Starting my day at Carolyn's breakfast table, filled me up with interesting and fun conversations
with folks I looked forward to seeing the next morning. I felt excited to share with Carolyn and her family how my work day went as well. It was as if we were old friends who just met. Very comforting and natural.
I usually am in a hurry to get back home, but I was loving Spurcross so much, I changed my return flight date to treat myself for few extra days on this beautiful property.
Cannot wait to return for more sunsets and hammock naps!
This is a special place I would highly recommend.

We felt very welcomed and the enjoyed our privacy. Breakfast was great as was the room. We were very pleased and would highly recommend this inn to anyone. The bed was so comfortable and the fireplace was a plus. Keurig coffee in the room was a good start. The quaint setting and eclectic decor was very pleasant.

The location of the Spur Cross B&B is fabulous, the rooms are nicely decorated and the setting is quite pretty. Sadly the customer service was severely lacking. I understand that the current owner has not owned the place that long, so many of the previous postings are out of date for this place. After confirming my reservation the day of my arrival, I was sorely disappointed to arrive at the B&B to have no one home. I waited over an hour and then had to make other arrangements.

Response from CarolynSpurCrossBNB, owner at Spur Cross Inn - B&B
Responded Nov 8, 2009
As owner of Spur Cross for almost 3 years I have learned many things about people and their expectations. I made a mistake, apologized for the inconvenience to her and was relieved when she told me she was able to stay with a friend that night. I thought I had made her stay quite nice , she needed breakfast an hour earlier than the other guests each day...no problem...she neglected to tell me about her allergies...no problem....she was on a budget....I gave her a room for half price....I was truly sorry for having the date wrong. She had e-mailed me for directions that day but did not mention she would be arriving later in the day,I sent her detailed directions and thought I would see her the next day. This was the first time I have missed a guests arrival.I tried to make her stay comfortable, apparently it was not enough. I learn from mistakes and will continue to do all I can to make the guests at Spur Cross enjoy their stay. While some of the reviews are from the previous owner, many have been written by guests I have had the pleasure to meet and share the beauty that surrounds Spur Cross. I have spent 20 + years in the hospitality industry, I know you can not please everyone but I will continue to do all I can to make sure the guests enjoy their stay at Spur Cross.

Upon checking in we were shown our room and, after eating out and turning in that evening, we found the rooms to be old, small, cluttered, and musty. Several window blinds were missing, the bathroom sink did not drain properly, the TV did not work, and lighting was poor. After a sleepless night we left early the next morning.

Response from CarolynSpurCrossBNB, Owner at Spur Cross Inn - B&B
Responded May 4, 2018
Hi Doug, Sorry to hear you were not happy , Agave is the original ranch house on the property , the bathroom sink has an issue that has yet to be solved, perhaps tree roots clogging the line . I have tried many ways to fix it , none have worked for long , but the sink does drain . The other rooms are much newer , too bad you did not reserve one of them . I did not charge you for leaving early and you should have told me you were unhappy instead of telling me it was was your allergies. . Musty and cluttered , no one has said that about that room in 11 years ,but it is old and old comes with issues sometimes . I can not help you if you don’t tell me the problem . It was nice to meet you and there are many other places that would be for you . Thanks for letting me know . Best, Carolyn

I found Spur Cross B&B for a quick weekend away. My husband and I were so pleased with our stay. Nice room with a view of the mountains, comfortable bed, our own bathroom and small kitchen area with a sink, some glasses, coffee maker, microwave, and mini fridge. The rooms were private and the patio was beautiful. The patio had fountains, several levels with areas for more than one group. Carolyn was so welcoming and friendly. She gave us a great tip on a romantic nice restaurant, and also suggested areas where we could hike. She made a delicious and satisfying breakfast where we met the other guests. Her food was delicious with lots of fresh fruit and good coffee. Both mornings she served a slightly different menu.
We enjoyed Cave Creek and could walk to most places. We were able to hike and enjoy being outdoors. This place is a little treasure and we will certainly return!

After an exhausting journey from the UK via JFK, it was lovely to come and stay at this beautiful desert hideaway. The room we had was really spacious and the bed was very comfortable. It was also exceptionally clean. Fresh milk provided and breakfast was absolutely delicious. Carolyn is a very gracious and interesting host. It was a real treat to watch the humming birds outside out room. Would strongly recommend!

After a traumatic journey from Las Vegas this was a calm, tranquil much needed stop-over.My wife and I have not experienced staying in a U.S. type B/B Inn before and we're very impressed with Spur Cross. The Mesquite Suite we stayed in was roomy, comfortable and had everything we needed, the bed was exceptionally big and cozy. Carolyn the owner was a fantastic, friendly host and could not have made us feel more welcome, she makes you feel so much at home it is as if you had known her for years!! After the brashness of Las Vegas the quiet, peacefulness of Spur Cross was a welcome but you can still have a great 'Cowboy' time at Harold's BBQ and The Buffalo Chip Saloon in Cave Creek. We would have loved to spend more time at Spur Cross but our itinerary would not allow it, so next time we are in the area we will hopefully stay there again - if there is any room of course !!

As a B&B this is the most friendly and homely place we have ever stayed. The room styles are just perfect for an experience of the South West USA. We loved the welcome and were treated as part of the family by Carolyn the owner as well as her sons. There was a good varied breakfast on the table each morning along with a friendly chat with Carolyn. i would recommend a stay here to anyone visiting the area and have plans to revisit asap.
Great trip and thanks to Carolyn for making Cave Creek special.

After staying in generic hotel after generic hotel this place was a great find! The setting makes you feel like your in the rural desert, yet the rooms are very comfortable. A bathtub, huge bed, family games, really makes you feel like home. A great atmosphere to enjoy with other guests and get to know them over breakfast. A one of kind find!
