The oversized rooms are tastefully decorated in a rustic-modern motif offering casual elegance with an old-world ambiance. All rooms feature a complete kitchenette and most have private decks where guests can savor the incredible mountain views. Part of Prickly Pear Plaza where you'll find Stumblina's Cantina, The City Creamery Ice Cream, Copper Rose Salon & Spa, Teeslanger T-shirt Company and Grumpy Ole Mule Mercantile. It was so wonderful to find this boutique hotel in the heart of the fun town of Cave Creek. It is perfectly located within walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants, and features a fun restaurant right in the same complex. The rooms are so very tastefully decorated in western motif and feature a kitchenette with nearly a full sized refrigerator! the shower, with it's stone accents is really a joy! We had a balcony that looked eastward so could sit out with our coffee in the mornings and enjoy the beautiful sunset.

Stayed here for two nights with 2 adults and 2 teens in a single room. The room we had was very spacious for the 4 of us, especially with a large corner balcony. Even the oldest teen, who voted against getting a single room admitted it was larger and nicer then he thought it would be. As a note, we did bring our own cot so we had a 3rd bed. Location was great for starting and ending the day. The walkable shopping/dining area stretches for a few blocks in either direction. There is a great breakfast/lunch place "The Grotto Cafe" to the east, and "Bryan's BBQ" to the west was excellent for dinner. Both days we had to drive into downtown Scottsdale for events. It is about a 30minute drive, but we found it well worth it to be able to stay out in quieter, smaller Cave Creek. FYI... Someone gave this place a "poor" review for the overly soft beds. They aren't wrong. If that really bothers you, be aware. The wife loved it, I almost slept on the cot.

First time at this wonderful boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Cave Creek. We definitely will stay here again! The staff are very friendly and helpful. The onsite gift shop is very well stocked with gifts, assortment of wines, and other beverages. The room we stayed in was spacious, lovely, big screen tv, large kitchen area, and the large patio was perfect for a relaxing morning coffee or afternoon drink. Prickly Pear Inn is within walking distance to other shops, restaurants, and bars. Great experience and we will certainly return for another stay-cation!

Stayed in the Bunny Ears room for 5 nights in March. This is a boutique hotel that is a handful of rooms above a retail complex. There is a gift shop, Tshirt shop, ice cream shop and restaurant/bar downstairs. Plenty of parking including an underground garage -- useful in hot summers. Despite the retail location I found the room to be very quiet. The room was spacious with a kitchenette which is convenient since there is no breakfast provided. It was spotlessly clean. The furnishings were updated with a Western flair. There is a very busy Mexican restaurant next door although we didn't get to try it. Nice to be able to walk to all the interesting shops and restaurants in Cave Creek. The only thing is checkin is through the gift shop so you need to somehow work around their hours. Would happily stay here again.

This was my third stay. Although a little pricey, it’s a great spot with lovely appointments, self-catering kitchenettes, fun gift shop with a nice selection of wines (closes early), easy parking, lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. I’d stay again. Do be careful of 7-day cancellation policy!

My sister and I stayed for two nights in April. What a great property and super room! Full kitchen, comfy beds and lovely patio deck. Our room was the Bunny Ears and couldn't have been any more spacious and lovely. Prickly Pear Inn is located in the heart of Cave Creek, walking distance to all the action!

We absolutely loved the Prickly Pear! It was clean & lovely,the king bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was large & the walk in shower was very accommodating. The Inn also supplies 2 great bottled waters, a frig & coffee machine.The Inn is very close to consignment stores & great shopping. Downstairs from the Inn has an ice cream shop, a great Tshirt shop owned by Scott & his wife, a great Mexican restaurant & bar. We really liked Scott & his wife & Daughter! Roger the host was very helpful & welcoming! Love the Prickly Pear! We would definitely stay at the Prickly Pear again!

What really made the Prickly Pear Inn and the restaurant Stumblina Cantina so remarkable were the staff. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Add to that a very well decorated room with a refrigerator that made no noise, a Keurig coffeemaker that had plenty of pods & nice ceramic mugs,and a bed that was so comfortable to sleep in. We were in heaven! Also can't forget to mention that everything was super clean. Absolutely lovely place

My husband and I stayed in the Pancake Room at this inn recently. We loved the location, the decor and the high end amenities. Each evening, we sat on our balcony with our wine and enjoyed the sunset and then (because we were carless) we walked to a close by restaurant for dinner, drinks or ice cream. We both said if we have to ever go into an assistant living arrangement, we want it to be exactly like our room. The kitchenette was top drawer and more than adequate for a long term stay if necessary. If you have an occasion to visit Cave Creek, I think you should book it ASAP.

A total hidden gem, have driven by the place 50 times and never knew it was there until I needed it spur of the moment. The rooms are so well designed and appointed, everything you need at your fingertips, spotless in every way, the beds are oh so comfy. They even thought of soft closure cabinet doors! LOVE this place will come back just for a stay-cation! Quick walk to rest, bars and tons of shopping. There is even an ice cream shop and a spa on property. The only drawback was the check in closes at 6:00 (flexible thou) and the adorable lobby store doesnt open until 11:00 am, wanted to spend time before we left...
